Miss Universe Paulina Vega Dazzles Colombiamoda 2015
With three appearances on the ramp for Falabella, a multinational Chilean company, Colombian model and Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega, was the star of one of the fashion shows at ColombiaModa 2015 in Medellin city Tuesday.
Vega, leading the models of the 'Basement' collection opened the event dressed in a brown velvet fringed poncho.
The audiences were all admiration as the 5 feet 8 inches tall model from Barranquilla with her dark brown eyes, and long, wavy chestnut brown mane walked the ramp elegantly and confidently.
The collection of the Chilean brand was an eccentric but well-linked blend of the 70s and different Renaissance trends.
The 70s is turning out to be one of the most dynamic trends of the year, evoking the golden era of 'Peace and Love' with fabrics as varied as denim, suede, velvet and cotton.
Vega's second appearance on the ramp was as a Greek goddess in a long, silky and flowy white dress.
The designs in the collection covered a wide range of colors including terra cotta, indigo, navy blue, white and coffee brown, aromatizing Colombian coffee plantations.
The last pieces of the lineup took the audience back to the Renaissance period, the age of heavy fabrics including high knotted collars, oversized buttons, Napoleonic cut coats, velvet jackets and lace dresses.
Vega, 22, made one last appearance in a black transparent dress with floral prints and a fringed black velvet vest.
Vega's participation comes weeks after the controversy surrounding American business tycoon and co-owner of the Miss Universe franchise Donald Trump who made racist statements against Mexican immigrants in the United States.
Vega responded to the Republican presidential candidate's comments, saying they were "unfair and hurtful."
