According to FIM Latin America, Bolivia will host the MX1 Latin American Motocross Championship from October 12 to 14, Peru will host the FIM Latin American Minicross Cup from October 26 to 28, and Mexico will host the 85cc Latin American Motocross Championship and the Latin American Women's Motocross Championship from November 2 to 4.

All these exemplary competitions will serve to soak the continent of a great sports environment, which will peak from November 9 to 11 in the Motocross of the Latin American Nations 2018 in Ecuador, more precisely in the Province of Santo Domingo de Los Tsáchilas. "The event is organized by the Ecuadorian Motorcycling Federation (FMN), with the endorsement of FIM Latin America and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM)," says FIM Latin America, which demonstrates the relevance of this sporting event.

Peru led the Latin American Motocross MX2

The MX2 Latin American Motocross Championship was held from August 17 to 19 at the circuit of the Chilca district, which corresponds to the province of Cañete, of the Department of Lima, Peru. 31 motorcyclists from 9 Latin American countries met in the demanding championship, but it was two Peruvians and one Bolivian who entered the final podium.

The Peruvian Ian Salazar, of the Team KTM Socopur, was the winner of the MX2 Latin American Motocross Championship, while the Bolivian Marco Antezana, Honda, and the Peruvian Gianluca Scavino, Husqvarna Motorcycles, ranked second and third respectively.

"I am very happy and satisfied with the result, happy to be able to represent Peru and make the house respected. This title was achieved based on effort and teamwork where each of the parties was essential to achieve the goal. I thank Grupo Socopur and the best staff of mechanics and support to leave the bike ready for the qualifying and the race. My coach Jorge Salazar, my family and sponsors, the Peruvian Motorcycling Federation for including me in the team, and each of the teammates and people involved in making this championship a true biker party," said the champion Ian Salazar in an interview with Mototec Magazine.

On Saturday, August 18  the qualifying stages took place, where Ian Salazar began to stand out widely, but it was Sunday 19 when the Peruvian dazzled and swept the competition. "On Sunday the 19th, the official race took place in two very close races of 30 minutes each, where Salazar faced the same as the international classified representatives," says Generacción.

Salazar achieved the first position in each race, leaving his triumph unquestionably and managing to record the fastest lap of the tournament with 1 minute and 31 seconds.
