The news was confirmed by former US President Donald Trump, of the death of his first wife, Ivana. The mother of Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric, was found dead in her apartment in an exclusive section of Manhattan Island in New York City. According to the New York Times, the New York City police suspect that the woman fell down the stairs and that there were no signs of use of force and everything indicated an accidental event.
The 73-year-old woman was born in the former Czechoslovakia and worked as a model, writer and businesswoman. She was married from 1977 to 1992 to real estate mogul Donald Trump. Her divorce with her ex-husband occupied at the time the front pages of what would be one of the largest divorces due to the fortune that the couple possessed. During the trial, the European claimed that her husband had raped her, although she later changed her speech and assured that it was not literal. Ivana signed a confidentiality agreement, but it is speculated that she finally kept 25 million dollars, the family mansion in Connecticut, 5 million annual alimony, 49% of Mar-a-Lago, among other things.
After her divorce, Ivana was even a figure for the white feminist elite in the United States. Representing an image of a woman who managed to go against prenuptial agreements and fiercely fight for a slice of her ex-husband's fortune. During her life after the failed marriage, Ivana wrote a best seller and ventured into the fashion industry, with recognizable success and also marrying in two more occasions.
During Donald Trump's term, Ivana preferred to take a less leading role and made almost no public comments regarding her ex-husband. However, she did come to his defense on a few occasions.
