Asunción is known as the 'Mother of cities' because of its colonial past. 2. Sports

The most popular sport in Latin America is definitely soccer, a point in which Asunción is not far behind. The city is home to the Olimpia, Cerro Porteño, Guaraní, Nacional and Libertad teams of the first division, so you can attend national or international games in which the Paraguayan teams participate. In 2019, Asunción will host the final of the Copa Sudamericana. In addition, you can also visit the South American Soccer Museum located in nearby Luque, just 30 minutes away by car.
