The PSG and the Brazilian had appealed the three-game suspension imposed by UEFA in June and the CAS reduced the penalty.

Neymar said the video assistant referee (VAR) system was "a shame" after PSG was eliminated from the Champions League in the last 16 by Manchester United, after charging a penalty in favor of the English team at the last minute, which gave them a 3-1 victory at the Parc des Princes stadium.

Neymar will be able to play matches for the Champions League from the third day of the group stage, when the PSG visits the Bruges of Belgium on October 22.

The Brazilian will be suspended for the first PSG match by the Champions League against Real Madrid in Spain this Wednesday 18, and on October 1 against the Galatasaray of Turkey.

The 27-year-old striker played his first game of the season for PSG on Saturday, after his failed transfer to Barcelona, and scored the only goal of the game in time off against Racing Strasbourg for Ligue 1.
