Over the weekend, the live football legend Cristiano Ronaldo reached the historic 700 goals in his football career. Ronaldo enters the select list of players who have registered the highest number of goals throughout their careers. In this way, the Portuguese is above Lionel Messi, and is very close to beating Gerd Müller (701), Ferenc Puskas (709). Still far from beating top scorer Josef Bican, the Austrian scored 805 goals throughout his career.

In LatinAmerican Post we show you the ten best goals of the Portuguese, dividing them by their participation in the different clubs and, of course, in his role as a player of the Portuguese national team.

1. Sporting of Lisbon

The Portuguese began his career in this club, where he had the opportunity to play in the Champions League, as well as in the League of his country. The first goal in his official football career came at age 17, when with Sporting de Lisboa, on October 7, 2002, in a match against Moreirense.

In this way, Ronaldo would become a crucial piece for Sporting, who from then on would put him in his starting eleven. His last goal came against Oliveira do Hospital and in the Portuguese league, he scored five goals before going to play in the Premier League.

2. Manchester United

After passing through Sporting, the player arrived at the English team under the command of Sir Alex Ferguson. It was in this team that Ronaldo would adopt the number seven. In his time at United, the Portuguese was named "Best young player of the year", and he scored 118 goals. In fact, one of the favorites of the player himself is the one who scored against Porto in the quarterfinals of the Champions League in 2009.

CR7 is usually a very complete player, from auction shots to headers, the Portuguese is not far behind when it comes to counterattacks, that's why we remember this incredible race in the match against Arsenal, for the same Champions League in 2009.

3. Real Madrid

In June 2009, the transfer of 80 million pounds of Portuguese was made official, one of the most expensive transfers of the moment. In the Spanish team, Ronaldo would mark history not only in the club but in his performance as a professional. He scored 450 goals in Real Madrid. As the player revealed to DAZN, one of the favorite goals was the one that scored Juventus in the Champions League semifinals in a Chilean that shook the entire stadium.

During his time in the Spanish League and in the 2013/2014 season, Ronaldo scored a spectacular goal unexpectedly. The Portuguese, who was at the point near the goalkeeper, was in an awkward position to finish off and with a unique movement, he managed to tie the game 2-2.

4. Juventus

After nine years in the merengue team, in July 2018 the transfer to the Italian club became official. So far, the Portuguese has scored 32 goals, a figure that will increase given his high football performance and his desire to continue breaking records. In one of his first matches, and against Empoli, for Serie A, Ronaldo scored two goals. The first from the penal point, but the second one he did it by receiving a pass from the left; Ronaldo controls the ball and scores before the free-throw line.

For the Champions League, Ronaldo turned a pass into a goal, since the Portuguese did not hesitate a second to lower the airball, but exploited his advantage against the defenders of Manchester United and thus kicked the pass that ended in an incredible goal.

5. Portugal

The player has participated 162 times in matches with the national team and has scored 95 goals. The captain was able to enjoy the European Championship in 2016, when Portugal was crowned champion and defeated France.

A year later, Portugal faced Hungary, in a match that the Portuguese took full advantage of because in a free throw he managed to score a spectacular goal.

Finally, we wanted to mention the goal that made him reach 700 scores because despite having fallen against Ukraine, Ronaldo did not disappoint the Portuguese fans by scoring the penalty.
