Film productions continue during the pandemic… although there are also some changes. For example, the versatile Johnny Deep was cast from Fantastic Beasts 3, the Warner Bros film in which he brought the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald to life .

The expulsion of the actor from the film production set in the Harry Potter universe came after losing a trial against The Sun, which accused him of abusing his ex-partner, Amber Heard . That means that Warner Bros asked him to resign from his role and, under those circumstances, he decided to accept.

Of course, her departure from the movie caused quite a stir on social media. Even Johnny Deep's fans want to boycott Aquaman 2 so that Amber Heard leaves the production, because it was the actress herself who denounced alleged false violence by her partner . Against this background, we decided to find out other cases in which the actors had to abandon their roles in films earlier than expected.

Ryan Gosling (The lovely bones)

It is clear that Ryan Gosling is one of the current Hollywood stars . However, that does not mean that he did not have his stumbles in some roles that he could have played. This is what happened in this 2009 film that was based on the dramatic and mysterious genre.

This story of a father who loses his teenage daughter because of a murderer was featured for Ryan Gosling. However, the actor had to have a more "suffered adult" look for the filming. With two days to go before the close-up, the actor had an extra 59 pounds for the role, in addition to a large beard. However, Peter Jackson, the director of the play, decided to dispense with his services and choose Mark Wahlberg for the role.

Terrence Howard (Iron Man 2)

Marvel is one of the biggest franchises in recent times, but it was also the subject of several problems in terms of production. One of them came across the character known as War Machine, which we met throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the interpretation of Don Cheadle .

However, not everyone remembers that , in the beginning, this character was played by James Rhodes . According to Sensacine, the actor had achieved great chemistry with Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man, so his character would gain more importance in the future. Therefore, he decided to ask for a large raise for the sequel … but the production did not take it well and the actor abandoned his role, arguing that he had been "betrayed" and being replaced by Don Cheadle.

Edward Norton (The Avengers)

Another inconvenience that occurred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this case, we have one of the best known, since Edward Norton was in charge of starring in the only Hulk movie … although he later abandoned his role and was replaced by Mark Ruffalo in the remaining films .

Many do not know why during The Avengers, the character of Hulk was played by Mark Ruffalo. Well, although Edward Norton is one of the actors with the best reputation in Hollywood, he decided not to play Dr. Bruce Banner or his green alter ego again because the actor wanted to rewrite many parts of his scripts or the montage, having a negative on the part of the producers .

Megan Fox (Transformers: Dark of the Moon)

Another of the most controversial layoffs in the history of cinema. After appearing in the first two installments of the Transformers saga, everyone hoped that the popular actress could repete her role in the third edition. However, this did not end up happening because they decided to make a recast.

The motives? Well, the producer of the film, Steven Spielberg, decided to kick her out of the shoot because he had previously mentioned that the director, Michael Bay, was "Hitler on the set", being a nightmare working with him. Therefore, we saw that the case of Johnny Deep is not unique in cinematography.
