There are already 6 teams that secured their qualification for the Betplay League Playoffs, and this Sunday the two remaining places will be fought between 6 teams. Let's see who the classifieds are and what others would have to do to qualify.

The classifieds:

In the group of qualifiers are Atlético Nacional (31 points), El Deportivo Cali (31 points), Independiente Santa Fe (30 points), El Deportes Tolima (30 points), Millonarios (30 points) and Equidad (30 points). points).

It is evident how close this Colombian soccer season has been when we consider that none of these teams has more than 10 victories. All of the aforementioned have 9 or 8 wins in 17 matches, so the standings at this point are defined more by draws.

However, when we go beyond the win-loss percentage and look at goals for and against (known as goal difference), there are 3 teams that stand out in this top 6. For this reason, each of them could easily make it to the end at playoff time.

First of all, we have Atlético Nacional, who with 30 goals in favor and 14 against leads the standings with a goal difference of 16.

Then in a draw, we have Independiente Santa Fe (23:13) and Deportes Tolima (22:12), both with a goal difference of 10.

As a curious fact, it is also worth noting that 3 of the 6 classified teams are from the capital, Bogotá.

Those that remain to be classified

As we mentioned earlier, 4 teams are contesting the last two spots to be among the top 8 to advance to the playoffs. These are: Junior FC, El América de Cali (the current champion), El Independiente Medellín and Jaguares de Córdoba.

Junior: It is out of his hands since he has already played 18 games. He has to wait until América and Medellín do not win their remaining matches and that if they do, it will not be by more than 3 goals in the case of the first and by four in the case of the second.

América de Cali: You are bound to win your last game against Deportes Tolima. He must also increase his goal difference to make distance with Independiente Medellín.

Independiente Medellín: Medellín is forced to win its last game against Once Caldas to qualify. He must also increase his goal difference to make distance with America.

Jaguares de Córdoba: Must win by a wide goal difference against Boyacá Chicó and hope that América and Medellín lose.
