Every October 19, World Breast Cancer Day is celebrated. This date aims to raise awareness about this disease, its symptoms and the possibility of accessing early diagnoses. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this type of cancer is the most common in women, whether in developed or developing countries. The disease usually develops in women over 40 years of age and so far there is no indication that there is an identifiable risk factor for contracting it.

It should be noted that an early diagnosis is extremely important, since it has been proven that with it, the treatment of breast cancer can be even more effective (normally the figure is 90% effective). This usually consists of a surgical procedure accompanied by a radiotherapy process. Although this disease can affect any woman regardless of her social class, the survival rate for early diagnoses and access to treatment is much higher in countries with high incomes (90%) compared to those with high rates of poverty (between 66 and 40%).

Taking these data into account and keeping an eye out for symptoms is extremely important to stop the disease early.
