Although 2021 was a slow year in terms of new music, for the coming year there will be albums that were also conceived in this time of isolation. Here are our most anticipated albums of 2022.

MOTOMAMI, Rosalía

After making a name for herself as one of the new voices of flamenco with Los Angeles and her worldwide explosion as a pop icon after El mal querer, Rosalía will start 2022 with MOTOMAMI, her third studio album.

This work has Linda's single, a song she made with the Dominican Tokischa, a dembow with hints of flamenco at the base that is somewhat minimalist. The Spanish artist has said that the limits in this work will cease to exist and she will break with the boundaries of genre.

Arctic monkeys

Thanks to Matt Helders, drummer of the British band, we know that they will release their new album before the summer of 2022. “ Yes, almost everything is done. Everything is on the way ”, said the member of the band to the BBC 5 Live Breakfast podcast.

Arctic Monkeys would return after a productive 2019 in which the band toured regarding their album Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino , which toured through several of the main festivals in Latin America.

Hard Skool, Guns N 'Roses

Many still regret the cancellation of the Guns N 'Roses tour in South America. However, the band is now active and for February 2022 it plans to launch Hard Skool, an EP that will consist of 6 songs, 3 of which will be live performances.

At the moment, the singles Hard Skool, released in September this year, and ABSUЯD, released in August, are known.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar hasn't released a new music product in 5 years. The rapper promised that he would make his last album with the label that saw him develop as an artist: Top Dawg Entertainment. After winning the Pulitzer for what he did with DAMN and after taking over the soundtrack for the movie Black Panther, the Compton native was very active with The melodic blues , his cousin Baby Keem's album, in which he participated. in two songs.

For now, we have no info about his upcoming singles. We know that he changed his pseudonym to Oklama and that he will appear at the Super Bowl halftime show with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige and Dr Dre, so we could have his new album in the first half of the next year.

Dharma, Sebastián Yatra

"The acceptance of reality" is the meaning of the word "dharma", which will be the name of the third album by the singer from Antioquia. After MANTRA and FANTASÍA , Sebastián Yatra will have a tight schedule behind him with the release of the album and the announcement of his tour in Latin America.

Lately, the Colombian has been working on the soundtrack for Encanto, the Disney film based in Colombia. He created Dos Orugitas , one of the main themes of the film.

La Última Misión, Wisin y Yandel

2022 seems to be the year where we will see for the last time the so-called “Duo of history” of reggaeton. Wisin and Yandel announced that, after 25 years, they would make their last album together. This is La Última Misión.

Both are recognized as pioneers in the genre that today reigns in Spanish-speaking music, and with the single Recordar – a song with a summer vibe – they promoted this work that is already confirmed for next year.

Artists such as Christina Aguilera, Bad Bunny, Chalie XCX, Camila Cabello, Placebo and Years & Years are expected to debut new projects, which are also highly anticipated for 2022. However, few details are known about these projects.
