TCLAN only with Mexico?

On September 26, 2018, a day after the US intervention in the General Assembly, Trump surprised with the statements he gave at a press conference about his neighbor Mexico. According to Voz de America, the American president said he had rejected a meeting with Canadian President Justin Trudeau to discuss the tariff dispute unleashed by the negotiations of the TCLAN (North American Free Trade Agreement).

Paradoxically, the pressure now facing the Canadian minister was favored by the Central American country, because Mexico, days ago, yielded to Washington in several aspects that for Canadians were essential as the mechanism to resolve disputes between the three partners, according to the information provided by El Financiero.

Added to this, according to the Voice of America, the US president said (in this press conference) his intention to raise tariffs on all vehicles exported by Canada to its territory, thus increasing the chances that negotiations will only reach good port with Mexico.

On the other hand, not only Mexico was well referenced by Trump in the framework of the Assembly, but the praises were also addressed to Iván Duque, president of Colombia.

Proximity between the United States with Colombia

On September 23, the forum called "a global action on the world drug problem" was held, where the highest leader of the United States had a very active performance. One of Washington's concerns about South America is the excessive increase in illicit cocaine crops, especially in the coffee territory. Venezuela: Military intervention?
