The list is headed by the heiress of the L'Oreal cosmetics industry, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, granddaughter of the founder in 1909 of this multinational, Eugene Schueller. Some subsidiary brands that belong to the L'Oreal group are Maybelline, Kiehl's, Lancôme, Garnier, NYX Professional Makeup, Shu Emura Cosmetics, Stylenanda, Redken, Youth to the people, Biotherm, Jolie de Vogue, Coloright, Roger & Gallet, Nyx cosmetics and others located within its four business divisions: Professional Products Division, Consumer Products Division, L'Oréal Luxe, and the Active Cosmetics Division.
In second place is the American Alice Walton, daughter of Sam Walton, founder of Walmart. The company was founded in 1962, and is headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas. Its subsidiaries are Vudu, Flipkart, Sam's Club, e-mart, Bonobos, Jet.com, Massmart, and At.com, forming a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores in the United States.
Julia Koch inherited her immense fortune from her husband David Koch who passed away in 2019, owner of Koch Industries Inc, a company related to manufacturing, refining, and distribution of petroleum, chemicals, energy, fiber, intermediates and polymers, minerals, fertilizer, pulp and paper, chemical technology equipment, cloud computing, finance, commodity market trading, and investments, based in Wichita, Kansas, United States.
MacKenzie Scott, a writer, and ex-wife of the world's richest man Jeff Bezos, who transferred a quarter of his Amazon holdings to him in 2019 as part of the divorce settlement, has been singled out as the world's largest philanthropist today, donating thousands of dollars to non-profit organizations in the United States in support of causes such as racial equity, promotion of the arts, LGBTQ + rights and public health, such as Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club of America and Planned Parenthood, among others.

Miriam Adelson, born in Tel Aviv, widow of Sheldon Adelson, is an Israeli American citizen and the richest of the women in her country of origin. Her family fortune stems from her 56 percent stake in the Las Vegas Sands casino operator. Former President Donald Trump awarded her in 2018 with The Presidential Medal of Freedom is an award bestowed by the president of the United States to recognize people who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.
