She is the former wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Scott is targeting communities with high food insecurity, racial inequity, and those hit hardest by COVID-19. The novelist has a net worth of more than $57 billion. She donated $6 billion in 2020 to 116 charities, according to Vogue.

Now with the pandemic, the importance of her mission is more crucial than ever. These philanthropists' actions motivate the public to dialogue about the difficulties that most people are going through. Before health became the main topic, these women fought for more equality, peace, and happiness in their near and far communities. With their excellent example, they prepare current and future rich generations to live in the real world, out of the bubble of fame.

2021 marks the 17th anniversary of the Women's Philanthropy Institute (WPI) coming to the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy of Indiana University. Through their education and research programs at the WPI, they try to connect women's passion and values about their own philanthropy to what's going on globally. All these leaders are part of a movement toward changing the world. Both men and women need to come together to solve these problems. However, wealthy women are taking advantage of this field. More than a donation, they research beforehand and understand the importance of what they're doing.

Dr. Debra Mesch, director of the WPI, says gender impacts how, why, and where people give to charitable causes. In the case of these billionaire couples, they joined forces to friendly help and cooperate.
