The emerging Mexican artist Jorge Bordello is 29 years old and eight years ago he founded his independent space for dissemination and promotion of art
Born in 1989 in Tlaxcala, Jorge G. Bordello is an emerging Mexican artist with artistic influences that are far from the murals of Diego Rivera that are in the center of the country and the engraving workshops of Francisco Toledo in Oaxaca.

His passion is inclined to New York pop art, glamor, fame, and eccentrics, her aesthetics, myths, and imaginaries. In his work is reflected the return of pop art to today. What the artist values a lot is the speed and expansion of formats, the constant interaction with different tools such as film, video, photography, scenography, and painting.
Initially, he studied a degree in International Relations at the Technological Institute of Superior Studies of Monterrey in the Campus of Puebla during the period 2007-2009. Subsequently, he was interested in the Workshops of Professional Initiation to the Visual Arts, to which he joined for a year.
After this, he carried out different courses, workshops, and seminars that managed to lead him to a much more formal, coherent and integral production. Since the end of 2010, he has exhibited in different spaces in Tlaxcala, Mexico City and Yucatan in spaces such as State Prize for Visual Arts 2010, which was held at the Tlaxcalteca Institute of Culture.
He also participated in group exhibitions, such as EMERGENCY and '3er 3ª', the second in the White Rabbit in Mexico City; as well as individual exhibitions such as Pop Kills at El Burdel, Contemporary Art and the 5th Visual Arts Biennial of Yucatán.

In November 2010, he founded El Burdel, Arte Contemporáneo (The Brothel, Contemporary Art), an independent space for the diffusion and promotion of contemporary art and emerging artists in Tlaxcala. This place has at this moment seven exhibitions, six workshops, conferences, talks, various actions, and residences.
The Brothel, Contemporary Art is his personal project, which is currently supported by FONCA through the Promotion and Co-investments to Cultural Projects. Currently, Bordello is working on his new collection called tentatively Cross.
Among the specialties that Bordello works are: video, painting, illustration, drawing, design, assembly, museography (refers to everything related to the operation of a museum) and cultural management. Among its abilities is the use of programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Video Editing, and photography.
