The hidden world of Sabrina

On October 26, The Hidden World of Sabrina is released, a series based on the popular American series Sabrina, the teenage witch. What better way to celebrate Halloween than with this remake that brings Sabrina, her aunts Hilda and Zelda, and the cat Salem? Relive your childhood with this original Netflix series that presents a much darker story than the famous 1996 sitcom.

According to Deadline, "this adaptation finds Sabrina struggling to reconcile her double nature, half witch, half mortal while facing the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daytime world inhabited by humans." The series is starring Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, Lucy Davis as Hilda, Miranda Otto as Zelda and Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle.

American Horror Story

American Horror Story is a horror series that premiered in 2011. Currently, the television program has eight seasons and you can see it on Fox. According to this channel, this is "an anthology with different characters and places, including a house with a dark past, an asylum, a coven of witches, a freak show, a sinister hotel and a fearsome house in the middle of the countryside in North Carolina."

This year began the eighth season of the horror series, entitled "Apocalypse", which will end in November of the same year. Starring great actors and based on real characters, this is one of those perfect series to make a horror marathon. This October 31, immerse yourself in a world in which each season is a different story and in which the same actors play different roles. Just watching a chapter will not be enough.

The Exorcist

In 2016 the exorcist premiered, a series based on the eponymous horror film of 1973. This program is a sequel to the popular movie that tells the story of Regan MacNeil, a girl who is possessed. More than 40 years later, Fox made a series that takes us into Regan's life, years after the demonic possession. The series only has two seasons, but in the years it was on the air it received very good reviews.

Speaking of series based on horror movies, Bates Motel is also a series inspired by one: Psycho by the director Alfred Hitchcock, which premiered in 1960. The series is the prequel to the cult film, which you can find on Netflix. This tells the story of Norman Bates and his mother, who after the death of his father open a hotel.

However, and according to the synopsis of the streaming page, soon "Norman's unstable mental health drives them into a dark alley of violence". The series premiered in 2015, has five seasons and is starred by Freddi Highmore as Norman and Vera Farmiga as Norma, the mother.
