In order to ensure that world's population can exercise this right, the UN set a goal of sustainable development that by 2030 no one will be left behind and that everyone will have access to clean water. Additionally, World Water Day is commemorated, today March 22, to address and attack the reasons why so many people do not enjoy this human right.
In the following infographic you will find information about why people are often denied access to water, worrying data, and things you can do to save this valuable liquid.
Water is the engine of life, but its absence means delay and death. That is why it is essential to take care of it and participate in private and public initiatives that promote its conservation, as well as the guarantee of access for every human being in every corner.
To collaborate, according to UN Water , you must:
- Learn: know why people do not have access and how these problems are being addressed
- Share: it is not enough for you to understand the situation, for this reason it is essential that you tell more people and be aware of the water crisis. UN Water offers resources with which you can start conversations.
- Act: although decision-making depends on entities superior to the subjects, such as state entities, we can all take care of and save water. Additionally, UN Water ensures that you can organize groups of people who are interested in knowing about the problem to take action.
