Loki is one of the most complex and beloved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Therefore, when it was confirmed that he would have his own series for the Disney + platform, many fans went crazy, because it meant that this antihero would have a continuation after the events that occurred in Avengers: Endgame.
Recently, Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige confirmed that the continuation of the story of Thor's brother will be released on June 11. There we can find out what happened to his character after the terrible events of Avengers: Endgame, as one of the mysteries, lay in knowing the whereabouts of this antihero.
This miniseries, which will consist of a total of 6 episodes, will seek to solve some of the most important enigmas of the character. We must remember that in Avengers: Infinity War he had died at the hands of Thanos, but when the superheroes travel to the past in Endgame they made changes in space-time that would affect this character. Let's see, then, everything we know about the Loki series.
What would the Loki series be like?
The trailer itself confirms, first of all, that the character will continue to be played by the fantastic Tom Hiddleston. There it can be seen that, after escaping with the tesseract in his possession, he arrives at a place very different from the reality of Earth.
One of the first confirmations of this series is that, according to Culture Leisure, the popular actor Owen Wilson will be part of the series. So far, his character is a mystery. However, what seems to be known is that it will introduce him to a strange organization, known as TVA.
This institution could be key to following the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The meaning of these acronyms is Time Variance Authority, which, in the comics of the 1980s, implied solving some imbalances in the universe, since alternate realities were generated that modified the space-time structures.
This would explain why Loki is still alive in this timeline, since, in the one in which he is present in that of our heroes, he had been defeated by Thanos after he redeemed himself and tried to help his older brother, Thor. However, the good news does not end there, because the cast is also very interesting.
In addition to Hiddleston and Wilson, the show will be comprised of several big-name actors, including Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, Sophia Di Martino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. All these actors will have some connection with the proposal of the multiverse within Marvel, which is why it could be related to the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will be released in 2022.

Even the hero Loki himself could be in charge of creating the Multiverse of madness in which the sorcerer himself will immerse himself, which is why we would be seeing that the series will have a really close relationship with the films. Even from LRM, they assure that a second season of the series would be scheduled, as it would be important for the UCM.
Perhaps this can be related to the belief that Loki had actually survived the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Let us remember that, in a gesture that was shocking and dramatic, the God of deception decided to sacrifice himself to save the group. Precisely, a gesture that does not fit too much with his manipulative personality.
Even another option would be for the series to raise the possibility that Loki is alive in another reality. That would be the door of the character's return to the movies, because, when this concept is introduced in the films, it would mean that they can meet this hero in some of the multiple realities generated in Marvel.
For now, we will have to wait to see the path they will choose to continue the story of one of the most iconic and complex characters in all of Marvel. As with WandaVision, perhaps this production could show that series and movies can be just as important to the future of the franchise.
