The monetary prizes of the Tour de France 2021

According to the regulations in the 2020 edition of the Tour de France, the winner Tadej Pogacar won the figure of 500,000 euros (more or less 2,213 million Colombian pesos), the second place prize went to Primoz Roglic with a total of 200,000 euros ( 885 million Colombian pesos) and the third, Richie Porte, who earned 100,000 euros (which is equivalent to 442 million Colombian pesos).
For their part, the winners of the intermediate sprints summed up 1,500 euros and the winners of the mountain prizes were divided into: 800 euros out of category prize , 650 euros for first categories, 500 euros in second categories, 300 euros in third categories and 200 euros for the rest. And 1'128,800 euros were divided for the competitors who were located among the first 160 places.
In addition, Tadej Pogacar, having won the classification of the mountain and the best rookie of the race, won another 45,000 euros (around 200 million pesos) and Sam Bennet, for having been the winner of the green points jersey , got another 25,000 euros (110 million pesos).
Apparently and according to the official website of the Tour de France things would not change on a large scale taking into account the previous edition , with this the prizes would be divided as follows:
General ranking
1. 500,000 euros (2.213 million pesos)
2. 200,000 euros (885 million pesos)
3. 100,000 euros (442 million pesos)
4. 70,000 euros (309 million pesos)
5. 50,000 euros (221 million pesos)
6. 23,000 euros (101 million pesos)
7. 11,500 euros (51 million pesos)
8. 7,600 euros (33 million pesos)
9. 4,500 euros (20 million pesos)
10. 3,800 euros (17 million pesos)
In addition to this, whoever is the leader of the race from stage 2 to 21 will receive a prize per stage of 500 euros (around 2 million pesos). To this is added the prize that the cyclists who are within the Top 10 of each fraction will receive where the money delivered will be from 11,000 to 300 euros for classified No. 20 (between 48 million pesos and one million pesos)

To these prizes are added the intermediate sprints that also have an amount of 1,500 euros for the winner (6 million pesos), 1,000 euros for the second (4 million pesos) and 500 euros for the third (2 million pesos) , in addition to a prize per stage for the best classified in points of 300 euros (1 million pesos).
Mountain classification
1. 25,000 euros (110 million pesos)
2. 15,000 euros (66 million pesos)
3. 10,000 euros (44 million pesos)
4. 4,000 euros (17 million pesos)
5. 3,500 euros (15 million pesos)
The additional prizes are divided into six, the first is for the winner of a stage or port which is classified as out of category, this cyclist will be awarded a prize of 800 euros, the second to pass will win 450 euros and the third will receive 300 euros (prizes between 3.5 million pesos and one million pesos).
The second will be for those riders who cross the first category prizes, here the prizes will be between 650 and 150 euros (2.8 million and 665,000 pesos), in the passages through second category ports the money will be divided into 500 and 250 euros (2.2 million and 1.1 million pesos), the third category prizes will be 300 euros (1 million pesos) and the fourth category will be delivered 200 euros to the winner (885,000 pesos). The last monetary prize will be for whoever is wearing the white with red circles shirt each stage, which will be around 300 euros.
Youth classification
1. 20,000 euros (88 million pesos)
2. 15,000 euros (66 million pesos)
3. 10,000 euros (44 million pesos)
4. 5,000 euros (22 million pesos)
For the young ones who are protagonists the additional prizes will be divided in two; the first will be for the best under 24 years of the stage who will win 500 euros (2.2 million pesos) and the one who is wearing the white shirt for each stage who will win 300 euros.
Team classification
1. 50,000 euros (221 million pesos)
2. 30,000 euros (132 million pesos)
3. 20,000 euros (88 million pesos)
4. 12,000 euros (53 million pesos)
5. 8,000 euros (35 million pesos)
Consequently, the cyclist who wins a stage will win the previously indicated prize, but his team will win an additional 2,800 euros (12 million pesos).
As the last prize, money will be given to combativeness, the most outstanding for each of the stages will receive an amount of 2,000 euros (8.8 million pesos) and for the runner who won this classification his prize will be 20,000 (88 million pesos pesos).
The 108th edition of the Tour de France will begin on June 26 between Brest and Landerneau where cyclists will have to travel 199 kilometers completely flat and is suitable for the best sprinters to be the first yellow jersey of this year.
