Historically speaking, when a movie brings together a stellar cast it always brings two results as a consequence: being a fairly expensive production and getting the attention of millions of viewers. It has been under this formula that Netflix intends to close 2021 as the number one platform, and for that, it had to disburse a large sum of money to reunite Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds in "Red Notice". Will it be as great as its protagonists?

And it is that bringing this trio of figures together is synonymous with success, since The Rock is among the highest-paid actors of 2021, the Israeli is a wonder woman, while Ryan's charisma is always one of the most sought after in the industry. In addition, in this adventure full of action and humor we will witness an international hunt around the world that will have its share of great effects and chase scenes. Without a doubt, we are facing one of the most anticipated Netflix releases of the year.

Red alert to catch the most cunning thief of all

A global arrest warrant, or a red alert, usually has a fairly large context, since the criminal in question is considered dangerous and therefore the authorities must work together to capture him. In "Red Notice" everything begins when Interpol issues that notice and the FBI sends its best profiler: John Hartley. But as the chase grows increasingly complicated, the agent will be forced to team up with Nolan Booth, an art thief who is also in demand.

The risky mission will lead the pair to track down "The Bishop" - the world's most wanted thief - through scenarios ranging from the Louvre museum, through a prison in Siberia, to the heart of a jungle. In this cat and mouse game, there will be plenty of blows and good humor, where the character of Gadot will also show that his talent is not only to steal and flee from justice.

Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, "Red Notice" is a Netflix original production in collaboration with production companies Flynn Picture Co. and Bad Version, Inc. The cast will have Johnson as agent John Hartley, Reynolds as the thief Nolan Booth, while Gadot will be the cunning thief who will complicate things for the authorities. Also, Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopolous will have characters yet to be revealed.

Netflix's most anticipated and most expensive film

Despite the fact that the recordings were delayed several times, not even the pandemic was able to stop Netflix's large investment in this project. According to reports from Variety, the production had a budget close to 200 million dollars, making it the most expensive in the history of the platform so far. And it is that in that figure would be included the 20 million that "The Rock" and Gadot each received for their respective roles in the film.

In recent years the streaming platform has spared no expense and that is why it has remained one of the most requested services. It is worth noting that among his most expensive original productions are "The Irishman" (159 million dollars), "Underground" (150 million), "Outlaw King" (120 million), and "Triple Frontier" (115 million). However, according to reports from Deadline, the film to be released "The Gray Man" could also reach that first place with 200 million invested.

The truth of the matter is that "Red Notice", which will premiere on the platform on November 12, has all the condiments to break audience records and also become the most successful film of 2021. Will it succeed?
