4 Women In Science That Fight Against Climate Change

The role of women in science and in the fight against climate change is very important. Here we present 4 scientists who stand out in this area.

Throughout history, women in science have been made invisible, but with the passage of time and a more inclusive and equitable look, they have been recognized. Yet the numbers are still small. According to the UNESCO report “Cracking the Code: Girls’ and Women’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education”, only 28 % of researchers in the world are women and, in higher education, “women represent only 35% of students enrolled in studies in STEM-related areas”.

This reflects that there is still a gender gap when it comes to women in science. However, today there are several that stand out in these areas and that seek to positively impact the world, based on research and projects focused on the environment, to inspire hundreds of girls to take the same steps. Here we present 4 female scientists who fight against climate change.


These are just some of the women around the world who are showing that science should be viable for anyone, regardless of race , class or gender.
