Tottenham ended the 2022-2023 season with the disappointment of not meeting the objectives and being left out of international tournaments for the following campaign. However, on an individual level, Harry Kane was the great figure of the team and achieved several records in the Premier League, which make him one of England's top scorers.

As a Tottenham footballer, Harry Kane became the benchmark and goalscorer for the team. However, he has not been able to get a title, despite being close on various occasions to lifting a trophy. In the Premier League they were runners-up in the 2016-2017 edition, while in the Champions League they reached the final in the 2018-2019 edition, in which they were defeated 2-0 against Liverpool.

Since his Premier League debut with the Tottenham shirt, his numbers have been improving season after season, although his first goals came in 2014, when he scored in his team's 5-1 win over Sunderland. From that moment on, Harry Kane was earning a place in the starting eleven of this team.

The current season for Harry Kane, in individual performance, was surely one of the best in his entire career, since for the second time he reached 30 goals in 38 games (the first time he did so in the 2017-2018 season). Despite this, he did not win the Golden Boot because he was outscored by Erling Halaand reaching 36 touchdowns.

This same year, Kane scored an important figure that led him to rank second among the top scorers in the history of the English league. Against Crystal Palace he reached 209 goals, surpassed Wayne Rooney and positioned himself in that place. The 29-year-old striker did it in 317 appearances, 174 fewer games than the Manchester United legend.

This figure continued to increase with the passing of the matches. In the middle of 2023, he already has 213 goals in 320 games. With this, he was 47 goals behind Alan Shearer, who is the top scorer in England history with 260 goals, but in 441 games. Shearer's data translates into an average of 0.59 goals per game, less than Harry Kane's, who averages 0.69 goals per game.

If he continues in the Premier League, and scoring goals as he has done in recent years, Harry Kane could surpass Alan Shearer's record. However, his presence in England, and even more so at Tottenham, is in doubt about the following season.

Interest from Other Teams

For several years, in every European summer market, it has been rumored that Harry Kane could leave Tottenham for a team with more history and in which he may have more chances of playing for titles. Despite this, everything remains mere rumors, which is why the forward is still at the club that has become his home for more than 10 years.

For this transfer market, the departure of Harry Kane could be more possible than in previous years because Tottenham has not qualified for international tournaments and will only compete in the national championships. This fact provoked the interest of clubs like Real Madrid, which is looking for a 9 to accompany or replace Karim Benzema. Other teams that could buy the player are Manchester United, a team that needs a scorer for the following season; Chelsea, who with the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino increased interest in the footballer, and Bayern Munich, a club that has a center forward on its list of priorities.

Due to this situation, the English press affirms that Tottenham has put a price on Harry Kane and the team that wants him in their ranks must pay 115 million euros. In addition, the club prefers to sell it to foreign soccer and not strengthen a Premier League rival. In this sense, teams outside of England would be more likely to have the scorer, but his price and age could make negotiations difficult.

There is a little more than a month left for the transfer market to officially open, and Harry Kane is one of the players who promises to play a leading role. However, there is the possibility that he could stay at Tottenham. However, surely his name will be linked, with speculation, to various teams in the world as the days go by.
