"Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse" is Sony's new commitment to take advantage of the potential of the arachnid hero that we all know. This film is a sequel to the original film, which featured the character of Miles Morales. This production had left the rod really high, but does the sequel live up to the hype? The answer is yes.

This second part dramatically expands the boundaries of animation and creates a visually stunning and narratively engaging experience. The tape breaks with traditional aesthetics. This production dares to innovate and dazzle the public with its unique style, without losing its original touch.

From the visual plane, "Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse" chooses to take risks. With a masterful combination of animation techniques, it manages to fuse 3D graphics with 2D elements, creating a visual collage that immerses the viewer in a feast for the senses. Perhaps it is the greatest virtue of the tape, since it is capable of impressing in each frame.

This visual innovation is also supported by the plot itself. As it is based on the multiverse, the boundaries of reality seem to blur. The fact that there are different versions of Spider-Man also helps viewers fall in love with each dimension throughout the film.

Spider-Man: A Teenage Boy

As the various Spider-Man and Spider-Woman come together on this epic adventure, they face personal challenges and discover the importance of teamwork and self-acceptance.

This sentimental aspect had already been raised in the first installment. However, here it takes on a greater role, because the leading character begins to suffer different crises, a product of his age. There is one of the keys that explain the success of this story, since Miles Morales is a teenager, with typical difficulties of this stage of life.

Through intimate and reflective moments, the viewer connects with the humanity of the characters and delves into their lives beyond the masks they wear. In addition, the contrast it represents with the different versions of Spider-Man from other dimensions generates unique exchanges and conversations.

The film is a tribute to both comic book fans and movie lovers in general. Throughout the plot, winks, and references to other films in the Spider-Man universe are made. Likewise, different narrative arcs are explored that keep viewers on edge. In other words: those who love this superhero will have a great time.

The tape also surprises by presenting a notable villain. Without going into spoilers, the enemy of this installment has impressive power. This adds a layer of tension and emotion to the plot that keeps the audience glued to the screen at all times, as it gives the feeling that anything can happen.

"Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse" is a cinematic experience not to be missed. From its dazzling animation to its compelling narrative and memorable characters, this film pushes the boundaries of what's possible in the animation genre. But it also defines the path that this character will follow in the future.

For example, Sony has mentioned that a live-action version of this movie is in the works. Fans are already speculating “crossovers” with the versions of Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, but nothing is confirmed yet. What is clear is that this animated bet has worked so well that the character will have his own real adaptation.

The only “negative” aspect of this film is that it works much more like a preview of what is to come than as a continuation of the previous one. That is to say, "Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse" prepares us for a unique outcome, which will occur in "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spiderverse", the third and final installment.

For now, this film is the best adaptation of the mythical spider-man, at least to date. Will the third one surpass it?
