Teen Choice Awards 2018: these are this year’s teens’ favorites
The strangest winners, a Latino takeover, and the most important awards chosen by the American teen audience
On Sunday, August 12, the Teen Choice Awards, organized by the FOX television network, were held in the Inglewood, California forum. The Teen Choice Awards reward the best of cinema, music, and television of the year according to the vote of teenagers between 13 and 17 years old in the United States and Puerto Rico. This year, the nominations were announced on June 13. Thus, teenagers from all 50 states had two months to vote for their favorite celebrities. The winners take a surfboard that changes design year after year. These were the highlights of this celebration.

A retelling of the Teen Choice Awards
This year some of the awards were announced by teenage fans via streaming. The first prize to be awarded was that of favorite drama actor for Zac Efron for The greatest showman. This is the twelfth teen choice that the Californian actor takes. Then, the cast of Riverdale, the tv series based on the comics of Archie, received the award for best drama series. Khalid, on the other hand, took the surfboard by revelation artist. Actors Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt were winners for actress and actor of a summer movie, both for Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom.
Later, actress Anna Kendrick, who also won the favorite Twitter personality chart, received the award for best comedy actress for her role in Pitch Perfect 3, while Love, Simon was chosen by the teen audience as the best film of comedy. The Shadowhunters series was awarded as the best fantasy or science fiction program.

Bebe Rexha, who also performed on the Teen Choice stage, won the best country song award for her song Meant to be, in which she collaborated with country duo Florida Georga Line, whose members came as a surprise to receive the table. The last awards given were to the favorite male artist and favorite Latin artist. These awards were respectively for British artist Louis Tomlinson, former member of the band One Direction, and for the Miami CNCO group. Finally, fans of the South Korean K-pop band BTS, received the award for best fans.
The singer Meghan Trainor, known for her simple All about that bass, was in charge of the first musical intermission. After her, the indie rock group Foster the People took the stage. Then it would be time for the award-winning Bebe Rexha night. In the last musical intermission, the R & B artist Evvie sang and also winner Khalid closed the celebration with his single Young, Dumb and Broke.

Latin Americans in the Teen Choice
Latin American artists make their way IGNORE INTO the American entertainment industry. Therefore, the Teen Choice Awards now have the category of favorite Latino artist. The Venezuelan Lele Pons, an internet celebrity and recognized as the most influential Venezuelan by Time magazine, was the host of the celebration.
