No spoilers: Orange Is the New Black and the new world of the sixth season
The series manages to reinvent itself and since the release of its trailer it was anticipated that this "would be a new world"

If last season ended with two deaths, several convicts on buses to other prisons, and some of the protagonists like Alex and Piper, recently engaged, along with Red, Gloria, Nicky, Cindy, Suzanne, Taystee, Blanca and Freida, taken of the hands to resist the disturbances, in this season the consequences of the revolt will be seen. Although OITNB is characterized by making palpable themes that reflect the social inequality present in Western culture, such as power, racism, corruption, social classes, and the benefits of privileged groups, this season brings situations that touch very sensitive fibers. The plot captures the viewer with the reality of the moment and they take it from empathy to sadness, then to impotence, and finally to hatred. The Black Lives Matter movement makes its appearance in the series, along with one of the hot topics of the moment, segregation, thanks to the immigration policies of US President Donald Trump.

On the other hand, in 13 episodes, Jenji Kohan explors new characters and their dramas. Although Piper Champam was seen as the main character of the series, this season opens up to other stories of the women of Litchfield, which makes it a really "choral" series (choral is called stories where there are a series of characters equally important, whose destinations intersect at one point).
Orange is the New Black allows the series to be maintained even if Piper leaves, since she has only a few months of sentence left. This is particularly timely, since actress Taylor Schilling (Piper), has decided to leave the series after the seventh season.

The actress released the news during an interview for the entertainment magazine The Hollywood Reporter, in which she said:
"It's certainly the end of an era, Orange has been a great chapter in my life, personally and professionally, I'm so grateful to have been able to play Piper, I'm excited to let Piper go and let her rest wonderfully, I'm sure Jenji will do it, and let her live in her own world when that moment comes".
The sixth season of Orange Is the New Black is complete renovation of the show. It is the reinvention of a great drama that shows a completely different scenario than the one known, in which being new to the new penitentiary center and being defenseless before new groups, will test the loyalty and honesty of the protagonists. Moreover, the series teaches the viewer that good and evil are defined by each person's circumstances. A series that opens the viewer to empathy and to see the situations from the vision of the person in question to understand their whys.
