Avengers: Endgame was the end of the cycle for several of the iconic characters of the Marvel franchise, such as Iron Man or Captain America. However, there are others that will continue within the comic universe adapted to the big screen. So much so that recently, the specialized media Fotogramas highlights that the actress Natalie Portman mentioned that the filming of Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth installment of the saga of the god of thunder will begin in 2021.
This film, which will belong to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, would be released in February 2022. According to the specialized website of Sensacine, the actor who plays the leading character, Chris Hemsworth, commented that the script by director Taika Waititi , who was already in charge of the third installment, "is one of the best scripts" he had read in years, so he anticipates that it will be a pretty crazy movie.
Given this situation, it is likely that Thor is the one who takes command of the Avengers group, since he is the only original member that the films retain after the events that occurred in Avengers: Endgame. Therefore, we decided to go through all the installments of the Thor trilogy, analyzing them from worst to best.
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
After a relatively successful start with his first film, the second installment of this God was a very big downturn, not only for its story, but also for the franchise. EnFilme's specialized website highlights that it was "much ado about nothing", in the sense that the depth of the characters is lost.
The idea of bringing an ancient race to the film that seeks to plunge the universe into darkness does not work, since their motivations are never fully understood. In addition, the character of Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, never ends up being convincing.
On the other hand, we can say that the idea that Loki, Thor's "evil" brother, joins the adventure, is one of the strongest points due to his magnificent performance. However, that final arc is also underdeveloped, given that we are left with questions that remain unanswered.
Thor (2011)
The first installment of the Nordic superhero of the hammer showed us a world of fantastic possibilities that were far from the earthly that we had seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a crucial adventure, which allows us to understand a little more the dangers that lie beyond Earth.
In this sense, the Hobbyconsolas medium highlights that the character of Thor is “most interesting”, since at first he appears as an arrogant warrior, but then he begins to lose everything and begins a path of redemption.

However, it is not a perfect adventure either. It was a magnificent film visually, with very vivid colors and different from previous installments, but the script does not seem to favor other characters. For example, Natalie Portman has one of the least interesting roles of her entire acting career, being a wasted character that may begin to have importance in the fourth installment.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
We come to one of the most risky works, not only of the character, but of the entire franchise of adaptations of superhero comics. According to what the El Confidencial website highlights, it is the most “unexpected and fun Marvel movie”, this last element being one of the bases of this adventure.
The third part of the Norse god has a strong seal from its director, the New Zealander Taika Waititi, who will also repeat his role in the fourth part after the success of this. Basically, this film is a bit different from what we had already seen in Marvel, being a story that can even have a parody or absurd tinge that makes it truly original and spectacular.
So much so that the specialized medium Espinof considers that "Taika Waititi takes the Asgardian hero to the Olympus of the Marvel Universe", coming out of pre-cooked formulas that characterized this world. In addition to having very well developed arches and with some surprises, we have just become fond of a character who, apparently, will continue his adventures with new superheroes.
