Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Deadpool 2 dominated in Latin America. They also prompted the Latin American Post to look forward to 2019, which figures to be an even bigger year for superhero movies. The most anticipated, though, is definitely Avengers 4, which has since been rechristened Avengers: Endgame. Fans just can’t seem to wait to find out what happens next after Thanos’s infamous finger snap to end Avengers: Infinity War. That being said, here is all you need to know about the upcoming film.
Endgame’s early release dates

Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26 in the United States, and on April 25 in Brazil and Colombia. Argentina, on the other hand, will have to wait another week, as the film will be released there on May 2. Other Latin American countries will have to wait for further announcements. It’ll be very, very long.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently the longest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) at 156 minutes. But the Russo Brothers, who co-directed the film have frequently hinted that the follow-up will be in the vicinity of 180 minutes. Given the scope of this epic storyline and all the characters involved, there’s enough reason to believe that yes, Avengers: Endgame will be the longest film, not only in the MCU, but also in the entire superhero genre. They’re back!

Some characters were noticeably absent in Avengers: Infinity War. Hawkeye/Clint Barton was MIA. Ant-Man was nowhere to be found. The Wasp was absent and so was Valkyrie. Also non-existent were the Sakaarian heroes, Thor’s newfound allies from Thor: Ragnarok led by the ever-gentle Korg. But they’re set for a comeback in Avengers: Endgame — or at least Hawkeye (as the much darker Ronin), Ant-Man, and The Wasp. No word yet, though, if Valkyrie and the Sakaraarians will be back, too. Expect an extravaganza of fight scenes in Avengers: Endgame, as that’s the norm for a MCU film. But expect some sort of mind games, too, perhaps more than usual. The term endgame is generally used to refer to the latter stages of a chess match, where strategy is at a premium given a major reduction in pieces. Producer Kevin Paige guarantees “a definite ending” at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. What will end is Phase Three of the fabled MCU, whose previous 22 films, beginning with Iron Man in 2008, all lead to this much-anticipated movie. Avengers: Endgame will be one of the biggest ever in history. It is, after all, part of the Marvel franchise, whose success transcends cinema and spans the entire spectrum within the entertainment industry. It has spawned a range of official merchandise, from toys to comic book tie-ins to t-shirts to games. The multibillion franchise, which is noticeably transitioning into featuring superheroines in more prominent roles, has also inspired a number of unofficial content, notably in the world of gaming.

There’s just too much money to be made not to keep on going.
Yes, anticipation for Avengers: Endgame is definitely sky-high, and every trailer and poster is just ramping up the hype even more. And from all indications, the film just might justify all this attention. So, do mark your calendars, or wait for further announcements as regards release dates here in Latin America.
