Star Wars is still a cultural phenomenon. The original films ended after the last trilogy by Disney, having mixed reviews from fans, but that did not happen in the field of the series. In particular, we saw it with The Mandalorian, which opens its second season after being the "surprise at the Emmys", with 19 nominations, according to Infobae.
In other words, this series based on Star Wars meant a real unexpected success for the franchise, giving it a new breath of fresh air. This is why Disney wants to repeat this play by bringing back, according to the MexMds website, the "best Star Wars character", which is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Recently, from BolaVip they notified that the actor who played the character in the prequel trilogy of the saga, Ewan McGregor, confirmed that the filming of the series that will be broadcast on Disney Plus has planned its recording for March 2021, after a series of delays. Against this background, we decided to find out everything that is known about the series of the mythical Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Everything that is known about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series
The first thing we must do is position ourselves in terms of space-time. For that, we can take into account that, Obi-Wan Kenobi decides to go into exile on Tatooine after the events that occurred in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, when Palpatine takes full control.
This is why, already in Episode IV: A New Hope, we see Obi-Wan appear (with another actor, since it was the "original" Star Wars film) when young Luke Skywalker found him living like a "hermit". That is a person far from the famous Jedi we met in the prequels, who called himself Ben.
From the HobbyConsolas medium, they report that the appearance of a young Luke Skywalker was confirmed. It would be an even younger version than the one we met in Episode IV, since the film would be located between the events that occurred in that film and Episode III, after Obi-Wan protects the boy by taking him to that desert planet.
However, they would not be the only iconic characters that would appear within this story. On the contrary, from the specialized medium of CinemasComics they warn that Hayden Christensen, the actor who played in the prequels the young apprentice of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, would also appear in this new series.
The inclusion of this character would be key to this story, because, by that time, he is already transformed into the iconic villain Darth Vader. Therefore, it is not known if he will appear with his suit or if, through flashbacks, we can remember the past between these two Jedi, until Anakin turned to the Dark Side, breaking the heart of his master and causing his exile.

On the other hand, Blog de Superhéroes notify that Ahsoka Tano would also appear in the Obi-Wan series. For those who do not know her, she was the young Anakin Skywalker's apprentice that she had in the animated series The Clone Wars, which would add another emotional twist to the story.
In this sense, the original synopsis of the series itself, as reported by Hypertextual, would reveal that most of the events will take place on Tatooine. It is the most symbolic planet in the entire saga since it is a place outside the limits of any civilization, where both Luke and Anakin Skywalker were born.
On the other hand, it was a production that had its delays. From ABC they commented that the story "was paralyzed" because, at first, the plotline was not great. Thus, a new writer was hired, Joby Harold, who rewrote some of the scripts developed to conform to the fans.
According to CNET, this series, at least in its beginnings, is intended for a single season, according to Ewan McGregor himself. That doesn't necessarily mean it won't be extended, but rather the project involves evaluating what happened to the characters after the events of Episode III ended.
Regarding its release date, Espacio Marvelita anticipates that we should wait for it in 2022. If we take into account that the filming will begin to occur in March 2021, the entire post-production stage would imply that we know the story of the mythical Obi-Wan by next year. May the force be with us!
