FOX Productions bets on a new show about the migration difficulties for the people on the Mexican border
FX presented its first original fiction production in Latin America co-produced by FOX Networks Group Latin America and Claro Video. The new production “Run, Coyote, Run” offers a sense of irony through its comedic aspect. It also depicts a deep, sour, and irreverent reflection on the migration and trafficking of people on the border between the United States and Mexico.
The idea of creating a series about such a controversial subject in Latin America started about five years ago. For the Mexican director Gustavo Loza it seemed convenient to portray said subject specifying that it’s a very delicate matter that, in several occasions and in different formats, has been shown but never through comedy.
That’s why the story develops around Gamaliel and Morris, two colorful characters. One Mexican and one North American who engage in people trafficking but that deep down have a good heart. After years of not seeing each other, they reunite and decide to join forces to create a transnational corporation: Run, Coyote, Run, a travel agency specialized in smuggling people illegally IGNORE INTO the United States.
