Our mind repeats over and over the patterns that it has recorded and with this determines our behaviors, but is it possible to get out of this hamster wheel and take control of your life? Of course, if you only need to have a strategy one and apply sustained effort one day at a time to achieve it.
There are many myths around the subject, such as that in 21 days you have a habit, which is incorrect, your brain requires a minimum of 63 days to rewire and have a neural base that allows it to transform behavior and make it sustainable over time. We are going to see some small steps to start in the mental reprogramming of your habits.
Order your mind
There are some minimums that you will need if you want to make your change sustainable over time:
-Sleep at least 7 hours, lack of sleep produces anxiety and with it, you return to old behaviors.
-Get moving: spend at least 15 minutes a day to start activating your body.
-Improve your diet: replace poorly nutritious food with fresh fruit or vegetables.

-Do not decide to make more than one change at a time, focus all your energy and attention on a single small aspect and once you achieve it, increase the demand a little more, this will make you feel like a winner and will encourage you to continue on "the right path "
-Act as if you have already achieved it: answer, what would be different in your life if you already had this habit? And start behaving as you would if this were already a reality.
-Apply positive affirmations: write a series of phrases for difficult days and repeat them when you get up, at noon, and before going to sleep, so you are programming your mind so that the change is more fluid.
-Get excited: you stimulate positive emotions in the face of change, be amazed at your small achievements, be grateful for the opportunity to be better, and amplify the joy of living by smiling just before doing the new activity.
For your brain what you think, feel and do is the same, so you can track it with the practice of these micro-steps and you will see how you tune your mind so that the changes are sustainable. Do not believe in magic solutions, they will only generate disappointment when you do not see the results, better take control and apply the power of science and you will see how by advancing one step at a time you create the life you want to live.
