Luis Díaz (FC Porto de Portugal-Left winger-1997)
The Colombian Winger was one of the best players in the last Copa América where his National Team finished in third place. But not only that, Luis Díaz was one of the top scorers of the edition with four goals (the same as Lionel Messi) and was part of the ideal eleven of the competition.
His speed, balance, great one-on-one and good resolution skills in tight spaces make him one of the South American players with a better future . In the last two seasons with the F.C. Porto, Díaz has played 97 games in all competitions, scoring in 25 opportunities and adding 13 assists. If he improves his figures this season, continues to consolidate himself in the National team and has another outstanding participation with the Portuguese club, it would not be uncommon for teams from the five best European leagues to be interested in him.
Steven Alzate (England's Brighton & Hove Albion-Midfielder-1998)
Born in London, Steven Alzate has lived and developed his entire career in the United Kingdom, debuting in professionalism in 2016 with Leyton Lorient (the team was in the fourth division at the time) and experiencing a meteoric rise of his career in the following seasons. The Englishman of Colombian parents played for the first time in the Premier League in the 2019-2020 season and has added 39 games to date with two goals and two assists.
The midfielder with Colombian nationality stands out for his versatility and multifunctionality within the field where he can occupy multiple positions on the field due to his good technique, refined skills, dynamism and intelligence to make correct decisions. He debuted in 2019 with the senior team in Colombia and to date he already has four participations, which will undoubtedly increase if he continues to play at the highest level .
Rafael Santos Borré (Eintracht Frankfurt-Forward-1995)
After winning six titles with the River Plate jersey (which includes a Copa Libertadores) and leaving quite positive figures (56 goals and 18 assists in 149 games), Rafael Santos Borré will live his second experience in European soccer after his brief stint at Villareal in the 2016-2017 season (when his contract belonged to Atlético de Madrid).
On this occasion, Borré will have the very complicated mission of replacing the Portuguese striker André Silva at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, who left for Leipzig in the same country and who scored 28 times last season, being one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga. With such a precedent, it can be quite difficult for the Colombian to be able to equal or exceed those figures, but without a doubt that he will provide other conditions such as his very good control of both legs, his header, his smooth technique and with the possibility to with space that make it very useful in different schemes.
Jhon Lucumí (Genk of Belgium-Central defense-1998)
Jhon Lucumí has been playing for Genk in Belgium for three years, the ideal country for a young player to start his adventure through Europe. Lucumí played 32 of the 34 possible games in the last league season with the Belgian team, showing all his forcefulness, physical presence and great aerial game. He has been part of the senior team in Colombia and it is very likely that in the near future he will end up going to a more competitive league, as many of his compatriots have done in the last decade. This season can be crucial for him.
Carlos Cuesta (Genk of Belgium-Central defense-1999)
The Colombian defender born in 1999 is Jhon Lucumí's teammate at Genk in Belgium and, like his partner, is a central defender with a lot of projection, physically prodigious and technically advantageous, reaching coverage on time, winning aerial games without being very tall and timing in a great way.
Cuesta has accumulated 65 games with the Belgian team to date and was called by Colombia's coach, Reinaldo Rueda, for the last Copa América. With a U-20 World Cup in the back and with the trajectory it has been achieving in Europe at such an early age, Colombia can boast of having two young centrals with a very bright future.
