These are difficult times for the world. Everything is stopped in order to maintain health and resume activities at some point. Of course, sport is not exclusive to this, nor are elite athletes, who fully comply with the quarantine due to COVID-19. For this reason, in LatinAmerican Post we present what the most influential athletes on the planet are doing these days.

Lionel Messi

The star FC Barcelona and the Argentine National Team, Lionel Messi and his wife Antonela Rocuzzo, have taken advantage of these days of daily inactivity to watch movies with the family. As expected, the couple has posted #StayHome on their social networks and in unison, they have clung to the cinema in these days of confinement.

Movies like "Pokemon" and "Beauty and the Beast" for the little ones in the house, Mateo and Ciro, have been the main ones in Disney seen by the Messi family, while the star has also taken advantage of training consciously while waiting for life to return to normal and he showed it in a video that he posted on his Instagram account.

Lebron James

In the case of the Los Angeles Lakers figure, he has done the first thing that any mortal would do: rest and at the same time not lose the physical rhythm with his demanding training session. But most of all, James has spent more time with his family than lately. Activities such as playing at home, walking nearby and chatting with your children have been highlighted by LeBron.

Federer and Nadal

For many, they are considered the best tennis players in history, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, have taken advantage of the mandatory break time to do great works or have great gestures.

Federer, who was not going to see action these days due to an injury to his right knee, announced the donation of 950 thousand euros for the most vulnerable Swiss families.

The winner of 20 Grand Slam titles reported in a statement the decision he made with his wife. "These are difficult times for everyone and no one should be left behind. Mirka and I have personally decided to donate a million Swiss francs for the most vulnerable families in Switzerland. Our contribution is just the beginning. Together we can overcome this crisis! Stay healthy!", he said.

In turn, his Spanish counterpart was photographed and encouraged his compatriots to take care of themselves in unison as they uploaded a photo on their social networks in which they appear cooking for dinner with their partner. "Today it is also time to cook for me and my wife, I hope you are all well and taking care of yourself at home," said Nadal.

"Strength and lots of encouragement," Nadal wrote on his Twitter account, also adding "I am fine, at home, doing physical exercise and following the orders and recommendations of the authorities; I hope you are all well, "added the Spanish tennis player.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Surrounded by luxuries as is his custom and this time it could not be different, the Portuguese forward of Juventus of Italy passes the confinement in a seven-story mansion overlooking the sea, in what many have already called “The most quarantine luxurious in the world ”.

CR7 has preferred the island of Madeira, his hometown, to support his mother, who has just suffered a cerebrovascular accident, in addition to being with her family.

Yulimar Rojas

The Venezuelan, current triple jump world champion, as well as other athletes residing in Madrid, have expressed their opinion during these days of quarantine as they have not been able to train for the Tokyo Olympics, which have recently just announced the new date in 2021.

Rojas, the new world record on triple jump (15.43), is a firm candidate for gold in her specialty and is based in the small town of Guadalajara in Spain, a place that she has as a training headquarters with the former Cuban athlete Iván Pedroso. Rojas can only go out to market, walk his dog or buy medicine.

"Hi there. I am home all day. We cannot be on the street, only for what is necessary. We are fine. For now we will train as far as we can. The track is closed. You have to be calm and take good care of yourself. This will happen with the help of God, "said the Venezuelan via twitter.

The Spanish athlete Julia Takacs, the European bronze medalist in 50 km march, in turn, showed her disagreement with the confinement, noting "What about all the athletes who live from the sport … If your job is to go out to train, being able to do it outdoors without the need for gyms or track, either? It is not necessary to go in herds, but each individually? Some solutions will be needed,” through her Twitter account.

Another who spoke was the Olympic medalist Mireia Belmonte , who, through an interview with La Sexta, complained about the closure of the Sierra Nevada High-Performance Center. "I have two solutions. That they put all the athletes in a High-Performance Center and that they take the COVID-19 test before entering … Or, if that is not possible, look for a public or private entity and that I can go alone to train ". In this regard, the Spanish Olympic Committee remains firm in its decision that everyone should stay home.
