Premier League takes steps to protect the health of its players
The English league will become the first competition to introduce permanent concussion substitutes for matches starting next week. The teams will have two permanent substitutes, which they can use even if they have already used all the allowed substitutions. This new rule will safeguard the health of the players.

Mets general manager fired for sexual harassment
Jared Porter, the general manager of the New York Mets, was fired this week by the organization due to inappropriate behavior with a journalist. Porter sent explicit and unsolicited messages to a journalist in 2016, including photos. The woman reported receiving 62 messages between July 19 and August 10, according to ESPN. Porter, who had described his position as his "dream job" and now has to leave in less than six weeks.

Health problems continue for Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods' back has always been a health issue for the golfer and in 2021 does not seem to be the exception. Woods announced that he just had a fifth surgery on this part of his body, this time for a fragmentet disc that was pressing on one of his nerves. Woods will miss a minimum of 2 months of competitions, including the Farmers Insurance Open and the Genesis Invitational.

Don Sutton, legendary pitcher and baseball commentator, dies
This week the death of Don Sutton, a former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, was announced. Sutton won more than 300 games in his career as a Dodger, was a four-time All-Star, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998. As a commentator, he worked more than two decades for different organizations. Sutton was 75 years old and suffered from cancer during the last years of his life.
