New J Cole song
Celebrities continue to protest systematic and racist police violence in the United States and the world. On Tuesday, rapper J Cole surprised his fans with the release of a new single, his first this year, Snow On Tha Bluff. This song is politically charged and touches on themes such as police violence, racism, and activism. It comes out amid protests in the United States and around the world in response to the murder of George Floyd by a white cop in the state of Minnesota.
Palm Springs trailer
Palm Springs, an original Hulu movie, released its trailer this Tuesday. It was presented at Sundance and awarded. It is rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it a movie certified by the audience and critics. Simple and intelligent, we will see in Palm Springs two young people fall in love in the middle of a wedding and then realize that they live in one day, as they always wake up on the morning of the wedding: they are stuck in time and space. It premieres on July 10 on the Hulu streaming platform.

Star Wars Convention postponed to 2022
More events have been canceled or postponed due to the global health crisis. This year the Star Wars fan convention would be held, but it has been postponed to 2022 due to the coronavirus. At this convention, which would bring together not only fans of the franchise but also its creators and protagonists, the future of the franchise was to be announced, which movie will follow? What will become of the open narrative threads that the saga still has? Sadly, fans will have to wait until 2022 for answers.
The Spirit Awards are postponed
The postponement of the Oscar Awards, normally held in January, to April 2021 was also known this week. The same has happened with the Spirit Awards for independent cinema. They announced this week that they will be delivered no longer in February of the next year but in April. This is due to the postponement of the premieres of many films that would fit in the nominations. The organizers of both events, therefore, want to give the producers the opportunity to present their films on time.
