2021 will try to conquer the subscribers of streaming platforms through new content. With different payment alternatives, such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, Netflix or HBO GO, it is clear that customers of each service have more and more content options.
Precisely, the month of February will be loaded with new series, films and documentaries by the main companies that offer and produce new content. In this first part, we decided to find out the premieres that are already confirmed for February 2021, in addition to seeing what each one will consist of.
Amazon Prime Video
We start with one of the most interesting, since it will offer a reboot of a story that, at the time, had been extremely successful. We are talking about El Internado, a Spanish fiction that aired on Antena 3 for seven seasons, which ran from 2007 to 2010.
This teenage fiction will feature a spin-off by Amazon, which will function as a reboot of the main one, which will be known as El Internado: Las Cumbres. In other words, a new beginning of that Spanish production that was really successful in Latin America. The plot? A strict school where complicated students attend, which is located between the mountains and next to a terrifying old monastery.
The cast will also be interesting, according to what Voz Pópuli indicates. This youth cast will be made up of Albert Salazar, Paula del Río and Daniel Arias. For the adults, however, Natalia Dicenta, Amaia Lizarralde and Mina El Hammani will appear. It is estimated that the first season will have 8 chapters and the tone will be similar to that of the original series.
On the other hand, on February 5 we will see the release of Bliss. It will be a Sci-fi drama film that will star Salma Hayek and Owen Wilson.
This film, written and directed by Mike Cahill, will bet on science fiction in all its splendor. The trailer already presents us with the idea that the protagonists have suspicions that they are in a simulation, although we will have to see what the evidence is that will make them understand what is happening in their lives.

HBO will also try to captivate its audience with new content. In this case, the continuation of a series that achieved relative success during its first broadcast. We are talking about Hard, a Brazilian production that is one of the best comedy series today and one of the essentials in this company's catalog.
On February 21, this second batch of episodes will be broadcast, the idea of which is, in fact, taken from another gala television production in 2008, which aired for 3 seasons in European countries. For this reason, this successful remake had its first season with 6 chapters of half an hour each, so we will have to see how it will work during its second stage.
This production has a basic premise: what happens to a woman who gets into the world of pornography. Sofía, starring the actress Natália Lage, realizes that her world begins to collapse after the death of her husband, but later discovered that her life was a lie, since he produced films for adults. Ideal if you like comical and uncomfortable moments.
Disney Plus
Disney Plus will also bet on a catalog full of new releases. In the month of February, an incredible superhero story was confirmed. We are talking about Flora and Ulises, who will arrive on the platform from February 19. In Vandal they say that it will be a film that is based on the novel by Kate DiCamillo, where we will have a superhero squirrel.
Directed by Lena Khan and written by Brad Copeland, the plot will revolve around a girl who, due to life circumstances, ends up befriending a squirrel … who actually has powers. The cast is led by Ben Schwarts, Matilde Lawler, Danny Pudi and Alyson Hannigan, so it can be interesting for the little ones.
Apple TV Plus
Apple TV Plus will also include new material in its catalog. In this case, we highlight the second season of Pennyworth, which will arrive on February 28. In its first stage, we were able to learn about the little-explored past of Batman's butler, Alfred, who is located far from Gotham City.
In particular, in a dark London of the 60s, when the lodges try to have power. The character, led by Jack Bannon, also explores characters such as Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and Martha Kane (Emma Paetz). Let us remember that it was created by Bruno Heller, the same person in charge of Gotham, so now we can see the second batch of chapters.
Netflix
Finally, Netflix has several new releases for the month of February. First of all, we have the documentary by Pelé, which will be released on February 23, according to the specialized media Olé. There the most important moments of the sports life of the Brazilian star will be reviewed.
They will also delve into the success of the documentary series, with Crime Scene: Disappearance at the Cecil Hotel, which will arrive on February 10 and will seek to explore the case of the mysterious death of Elisa Lam, a Canadian student in Los Angeles who died in February of 2013 and whose case was never resolved.
