Leer en español: ¿Por qué Nayib Bukele es tan popular?
After a bloody and cruel civil war in Salvador, the presence of two hegemonic parties that disputed power became the political reality of this country. However, the current president, Nayib Bukele, eradicated this party system, positioning his allies in parliament that will allow him to continue making the radical changes that we have seen lately in the Central American nation.
In February 2019 he won the presidency with 53% of the votes. Two years later, with the support of the "New Thought" party, he obtained 66% of the votes, leaving the opposition party with less than 20% of the votes.
The sweeping victory of the parliamentary elections is due to a new electorate willing to surrender to the arms of a charismatic leader who offers them quick and apparently lasting solutions to the problems that afflicted the Salvadoran society and economy in the post-civil war years.
But what is it that truly determines the popularity of this Salvadoran leader? What have been the achievements that have allowed you to be so popular?

Bukele and its popularity:
Nayib Bukele, the current president of El Salvador, is 39 years old. In his first two years of government, he had a record of 80% to 90% approval among Salvadoran society and is recognized for breaking the traditional system of local parties and actively governing from social networks. In February 2019 he won with 53% of the votes.
With his charisma and such peculiar style of governing, he has been the face of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving historical levels of financing in the country, in order for people to leave their homes as little as possible and decrease the number of infections within its territory.
His achievements:
Listing each of his accomplishments in chronological order would give an entire presidential report; Therefore, it is crucial to determine which actions have allowed you to increase the popularity of your figure, by level of impact and regardless of the chronology of the actions.
“Nuestro país no está polarizado, ni dividido, todo lo contrario, por primera vez está unido; salvo pequeños residuos, no hay izquierda ni derecha, por primera vez, 9 de cada 10 salvadoreños apoyan una visión, a un gobierno, a un Presidente”, Presidente @nayibbukele. pic.twitter.com/bAYLe3mtwV

Territorial Control Plan: it is one of the most successful security policies that this nation has had, because by the beginning of April, the country had almost 2 months without murders, and although at present that record has already been broken, it must be taken into account that insecurity rates decreased considerably.
Decrease in extreme poverty: since he came to power, Bukel made a realignment to public spending that allowed him to favor those who were in extreme poverty levels, reducing this figure for the first time in the contemporary history of El Salvador.
“Nunca más vamos a regresar al sistema que por dos siglos nos hundió en la delincuencia, la corrupción, la desigualdad y la pobreza.

A new minimum wage: it goes without saying that the minimum wage figure is something that everyone in Latin America takes into account, so having raised it to 50% partly determined its rise in popularity among the masses.
A new health system: it was very common to observe in this country the collection of voluntary fees in order to be treated in public hospitals. With the arrival of Bukele to power, this ended, and with the rearrangement of public spending, more resources were also allocated to the health system, allowing lower rates of infant and maternal mortality.
A turn to education: Bukele has turned the educational system around, because, in the presence of large communities with high illiteracy rates, the government undertook the task of increasing the enrollment of students and decreased school dropouts.
Economic path: with this renewal of leadership, the international market has paid more attention to this country, which is why exports increased by almost 40%. This increased employment and the flow of capital between societies.
