On October 2, Brazilians will elect their new president. Although there are 11 candidates in competition, the polls give 2 old acquaintances as top favorites. They are former president Lula da Silva and current president Jair Bolsonaro.

Brazilians will elect their next president and vice president in October. Additionally, 27 of the 81 seats in the Federal Senate and the 513 seats in the Chamber of Deputies will be renewed. The winner will lead the largest economy on the continent and a regional power.
