It is a fact that Arab football is receiving the same (or even more) amount of money than European football, will this be the case in the game? This time it was Neymar's turn, who until this season and since 2017 had been playing for PSG. After failing to win the Champions League title with this team this season, Neymar has decided to move to Arab football, just as other famous footballers have done.

Yesterday his entrance to Al Hilal was official, a transfer that broke records in the transfer market. There he will face Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr.

The transfer numbers: For how much is Neymar going to Al Hilal?

The Brazilian player will have a salary of 10 million euros, the second highest only after Cristiano Ronaldo, making him the second highest paid player in the world. Depending on how he manages his social networks, 150 million euros could be added to the sum of his salary for advertising reasons. This, because Neymar will receive 500,000 euros for each Instagram post he makes about the team or about the tourism he carries out in Saudi Arabia.

Thus, Neymar could earn even up to 350 million euros.

Beyond the numbers: What were his demands?

But that is not all. In addition to the increase in his salary and the deal for publicity on his social networks, Neymar demanded a number of deals to make his transfer to Saudi Arabia. Among these are:

  • A mansion with 25 rooms, a 40 x 10 meter pool and 3 saunas.
  • Three high-end sports cars: a Bentley Continental GP, an Aston Martin DBX and a Lamborghini Huracán. As well as a Mercedes G wagon.
  • The team will have its private plane for the player and his family when they need it.

In exchange for?

In the announcement of the sale of the player by PSG to Al Hilal, it was said that Neymar would commit to two seasons in the Saudi team.

His previous signing, from Barcelona to PSG, had already broken records in this market. It was in 2017 when Neymar arrived in Paris after his previous team, Barcelona FC, paid PSG 222 million euros. He arrived in Paris at the same time as Mbappé, whose transfer is also being considered at this time by the club. Although he arrived with the mission of winning the Champions League against PSG, Neymar failed to win the Continental Cup with the French team, largely due to his multiple injuries.

It is evident that, since Neymar's arrival at PSG, football has changed and turned towards the East. This is indicated by the multiple transfers of stars to Arab football after the World Cup in Qatar. Now, the Brazilian will face Cristiano Ronaldo, the only footballer better paid than him, who also plays for the Saudi Al-Nassr.
