What is the story of this renowned artist?

Robert Edward Rosa Suárez or Draco Cornelius Rosa Suárez, better known as Robi Draco Rosa, Draco Rosa or simply Draco, is a versatile artist, who not only dedicates himself to music, but who is also a poet and entrepreneur. He was born in Long Island, New York, in 1969.

When he was little he went to live with his parents in Puerto Rico, it was there where he started a successful musical career, because he had the opportunity to participate in a youth musical group known as "Menudo" with the renowned artist Ricky Martin with whom he not only has a great friendship but they also made a successful musical association. The popularity of the band was thanks to successes such as: "Súbete a mi moto" ("Get on my bike"), "Quiero ser" ("I want to be"), "Lluvia" ("Rain"), "Mi banda toca rock" ("My band plays rock"), among others, which led to the band being recognized not only in Puerto Rico but also in Spain, the Philippines, the United States, Canada, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Brazil, as reported by buenamusica.com.

After leaving the group, the artist decided to move to Rio de Janeiro to enrich his musical education and become known by other means. With that recognition came the opportunity to move to Los Angeles to participate in the film "Salsa" with the main role and it was during the filming that he met Ángela Alvarado, his future wife and mother of his two beautiful children.

Draco Rosa is not only recognized for his musical life, but also for being a fighter, since in 2011 he was diagnosed with liver cancer, which is why he left the stage for about a year. His battle was tough, but thanks to an alternative treatment that was carried out in Houston and Santa Monica (United States) he was able to get rid of this disease.

His wife was very supportive during this crisis. After winning the battle to his death on several occasions, he always recognizes that he would not have succeeded in not having Angela Álvarado, his wife, with him, as El País reported on October 13, 2013.

The success of the artist has not been overshadowed by the passage of time, contrary to this, his songs are well remembered and on his 46th birthday the magazine "People en Español" made a compilation of his 10 best songs, among which find: "Cruzando puertas" ("Crossing doors"), "Blanca mujer" ("White woman"), "Más y más" ("More and more"), "Cómo me acuerdo" ("How I remember"), "Esto es la vida" ("This is life"), "Penelope", "Vagabundo" ("Vagabond"), "Madre tierra" ("Mother earth"),  "Reza por mí" ("Pray for me"), and "Mad Love."
