A new Star Wars trilogy
This year, initially, corresponded to the end of the legendary galactic saga created by George Lucas. Star Wars: Episode IX – The Ascent of Skywalker, which will be released on December 19, which is the title that would have closed this intergalactical story.
However, according to Infobae, Disney will not end this universe after this movie; they will only take a rest. In this way, it was confirmed that there will be a new trilogy, with a first planned production to reach the cinemas at Christmas 2022. We will have to wait three more years for this new period to begin.
The Christmas dates will be important, since it has been confirmed that the other deliveries also arrive in the month of December. More specifically, the new trilogy will be completed with the releases of 2024 and 2026.
Although the plot and narrative arcs are still unknown, we can predict that they will not have much relation with the original trilogies. Thus, Disney would elaborate a story practically independent of the other films, although with the concept of the Force and the stellar and epic context intrinsic to this universe.
Four sequels of Avatar
Avatar will be the other saga that Disney will alternate with Star Wars releases. The first production, directed by James Cameron and released in 2009, was the most successful box office film in history.
Well, the mouse company wants to take advantage of the large number of fans that created this story in the fictional world of Pandora. VOA Notcias informs that four new sequels were programmed and that they would be released in the years in which Star Wars does not appear in the billboards.
Disney, Fox release a number of release date changes and confirmations, including Avatar 2 in December 2021, Ad Astra (Brad Pitt in space) to September 2019, New Mutants and Artemis Fowl pushed to 2020, and guesses as to which Marvel movie is which! pic.twitter.com/2A9q9OtvO3

In this way, while the galactic saga has been announced for pair-numbered years, Avatar has been the opposite. Avatar 2, which initially planned its arrival for 2020, will be delayed for a year, so it will be released in 2021. The rest of the films have a release date for 2023, 2025 and 2027. There is still a lot to know about this world of science fiction!

Other premieres
In addition to the continuations of Star Wars and Avatar, Disney announced many more movie releases for the next few years.
According to Indie Hoy, this year will be released highly anticipated adaptations such as the live-action of Aladdin or The Lion King. In addition, we can not forget about unmissable titles such as Toy Story 4 or the second part of Frozen.
Next year Mulan will probably offer us another very interesting live-action, in addition to the release of Cruella, which will star the well-known actress Emma Stone. There are also two Marvel productions, one from Pixar and one animated from Disney, although still without official names.
For the following years, there are fewer confirmations, since most of them are films of the aforementioned producers. In this way, details of the stories are not specified either. However, Cinemania let us know up that Indiana Jones will have a fifth film, again starring Harrison Ford, which will be released in 2021.
With this long-awaited launch schedule, Disney will try to generate enormous success in movie theaters. We will have to wait to learn more details!
