“House of Gucci”: A Great Work On Power And Social Differences

It is clear that Ridley Scott is one of the most important directors in the history of cinema. Therefore, in 2021 a film was eagerly awaited that was also excited by its large cast.

In real life, Reggiani is known as the "black widow of Italy" for allegedly having murdered Maurizio Gucci. She has always declared her innocence, despite having received a 29-year prison sentence for being the perpetrator of the crime.

This important fact is portrayed perfectly in the film, as it shows the transition from what should have been a love relationship to a story of revenge, jealousy, and power. That is where "House of Gucci" achieves its effectiveness, as it shows how weak the social fabric can be that generates the search for money.

Much of this narrative force occurs in the interpretations of Lady Gaga and Adam Driver that manage to immediately captivate the viewer. The same thing happens with Jared Leto and Al Pacino, who bring that quota of charisma that is always welcome in a film of this type.

To this, we must also add the exquisite work of photography and direction to which the director is accustomed. In an elegant way, the difference between social classes is shown to us from an excellent climatic setting.

Basically, the story covers a time period that oscillates between 1973 and 1995, so the costumes, makeup, and even some expressions will change over the years. Thus, people who love this kind of detail will surely be fascinated by all the work behind it.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the essential films of 2021 and that will surely be one of the candidates for the Oscar next year.
