Argentine and the English League: Protagonists Among the Nominees for the Ballon d’Or

The nominees for this year's Ballon d'Or have already been announced. Among the notables, there are four world champions. Here we tell you who they are .

The world champions with the Argentine national team Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa), Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan) and Julián Álvarez (Manchester City) are among the contenders to win the next Ballon d'Or, according to has been made official by the French sports newspaper L'Equipe.

Emiliano Martínez, world champion with Argentina and currently in the ranks of Aston Villa, is among the nominees for the Yashin Trophy Golden Ball, which recognizes the best goalkeeper of the season.

English football: the protagonist of the season

Álvarez was also proclaimed European club champion with Manchester City, which rules in terms of the number of names on the list of candidates, since Erling Haaland, Rodri Hernández, Bernardo Silva, Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias and Kevin De Bruyne.

Other players who currently belong to English teams and who are among the candidates are Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard (Arsenal), and André Onana (Manchester United).

And what about Spain?

Regarding footballers who currently play or played last year in the Spanish LaLiga EA Sports, there are a total of 8. These are Jude Bellingham, Vinicus Jr. and Luka Modric (Real Madrid); Ilkay Gündogan and Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona); Antoine Griezmann (Atlético de Madrid); Karim Benzema (Al Ittihad) and Yassine Bounou (Al Hilal).

Kylian Mbappé and Randal Kolo Muani (PSG) complete the list with Kim Min-Jae, Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala (Bayern); Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Naples); and Nicolo Barella (Inter Milan).
