Arsenal signs Brazilian central David Luiz

The Arsenal directed by Spanish coach, Unai Emery, announced Thursday the signing of the Brazilian international defender David Luiz, 32, from Chelsea.

The central began its international career in Portuguese Benfica. Then he played at Chelsea, in two periods, and at Paris St. Germain, where he was already under the command of Unai Emery. With the Brazilian team, he has played 56 games.

"David has a great experience and I am looking forward to working with him again. He is a well-known player who will give us more defensive strength," said the Spanish coach.

David Luiz will wear number 23 on his shirt, according to the London club.

Arsenal also announced on Thursday, the day that the deadline for signings in English football was closed, the incorporation of Scottish left-back Kieran Tierney from Celtic Glasgow.
