The seventeenth edition of the World Athletics Championship is about to end. This great event that brings together athletes in different competitions left great and important victories for Latin American athletes. That is why from LatinAmerican Post we show you who have been the winners so far.

Alex Quiñónez

The Ecuadorian competed for the 200 flat meters in one of the most exciting races of the Championship. Quiñónez reached the bronze with a mark of 19.98 seconds. The Ecuadorian said he was "happy to have won a medal, although not the one I wanted," which he complemented "we must continue working and striving more and more." This is the fifth medal that Ecuador obtains in a World Cup.

Anthony Zambrano

The Colombian made history in the athletics of the country. Zambrano took the silver medal in the 400 flat meters with 44.15 seconds at age 21. A milestone for the history of Colombia because no sprinter had won a medal in a World Cup, according to El Tiempo.
