Some companies continue in the last century without caring about opening the doors to women, others, although fearful, comply with the agreed quotas, and others, more launched, generate inclusive corporate policies and have the training, tax, and social incentives to create workspaces for the female sex or LGBTI communities. Spaces continue to be gained on many fronts, there is a lack, but the fight is constant.

They have many services, but one of them is to evaluate the policies and processes that promote gender equality and diversity of Latin American companies, in their PAR Ranking. This free and annual measurement has been carried out by Aequales for years, and in its latest version, the following won: Pfizer Mexico, P&G, Efficiency, Pepsico, DHL, Bavaria, MSD, Accenture, Pfizer Colombia, and P&G Colombia.
These large companies were valued on several fronts: participation levels, the company's position within Latin America, comparative data for the region, and of course, recognition of their efforts to reduce the gender gap.
On the other hand, they praised the best labor practices: the Peruvian company Lindley, Pepsico from Mexico (due to its trans policy), and Ecopetrol from Colombia.
According to an economic portal, Aequales found that by 2021 “only 24% of CEO positions in companies in the region are held by women; In addition, if 30% of management positions were occupied by women, the economic profitability ratios (ROA) could improve to 24.6%”.
Likewise, the efforts of Colombian companies were recognized and in that order are: Eficacia S.A., Pesico, Bavaria & Cis, Accenture Ltda, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, Transportadora de Gas Internacional TGI, Diageo, J.P. Morgan and Scotiabank Colpatria.
The consulting company evaluated five categories: objective management, organizational culture, organizational structure, talent management, and gender and diversity to 252 companies from Colombia and 710 from LATAM that signed up for this eighth version.
Behind this measurement, methodology and advice are the founders and CEOs of Aequales and the PAR Ranking, the Peruvian Andrea de La Piedra and the Colombian Mia Perdomo. Two young women who believe in the equality and strength of women and gender diversity to increase the productivity of companies. As said at the beginning, stereotypes, biases and little information are still preserved that do not allow equalizing job opportunities and promotions between work teams.
Pfizer Colombia, one of the winners from the region and from Colombia, proudly points out on its website that they have a Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which is "made up of people from different areas who recognize the diversity of thoughts and perspectives to build pleasant work environments and favors business success”.
However, both this company and the National Association of Industrialists (ANDI) point out that fewer women are in charge of management positions. According to a 2022 Gender Equality Survey, management positions held by women went from 27.2% in 2021 to 22.9% in 2022. But in the positions that follow below, the presence of women did increase, since in 2021 participation was 40.2% and in 2022 it was 48.5%.
