It is no secret to anyone that the Critics Choice Awards are one of the most important events during the film and television awards season. Precisely, this is usually a good thermometer that serves as the perfect prelude to the Oscars. Since 1996, the Film Broadcasting Critics Association has organized this ceremony, with more than 200 television, radio, and film critics from the United States and Canada.

Among so many categories to be awarded, the one for Best Song stands out. We all know that music is that indispensable guest in all kinds of productions because a good song can turn a scene or moment into something unforgettable. It should be noted that this award began to be awarded in its fourth edition (1999), since then it has been a fixed and fundamental category for the aspirations not only of artists but also of film producers themselves.

Shallow (2019)

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper not only starred in A Star Is Born, but they also performed one of the best songs of that year. Sublime!

Remember me (2018)

Coco is one of the animated films that left a great variety of themes since music was the main protagonist. This version had different presentations, such as Benjamin Bratt or Gael García Bernal in a more pop version with Miguel and Natalia Lafourcade.

City of Stars (2017)

The musical La La Land left us great themes throughout its plot, one of them was performed by its actors Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.

See You Again (2016)

An emotional piece of music by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa for the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious saga, which also served as a tribute to the late actor and protagonist, Paul Walker.

Glory (2015)

A great song that mixes the styles of John Legend and Common. He was present in Selma, a historical film that recounts Martin Luther King's battle to ensure everyone's right to vote.

Falling Slowly (2008)

Eleven was a romantic film originally from Ireland that told the story of two musicians: Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová. A great theme to remember.

Listen (2007)

The musical drama Dreamgirls had several stars such as Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Hudson, and Beyoncé herself, who was in charge of putting her touch on this song.

Hustle & Flow (2006)

This independent film featured the leading role of Terrence Howard, who in turn performed several songs for this story full of a lot of rap.

Old habits die hard (2005)

A great work by Mick Jagger for the film Alfie, a romantic comedy starring Jude Law and Marisa Tomei.

A Mighty Wind (2004)

It was a film with fictional events presented as a documentary on folk music. The album reached the top 20 on the Billboards.

Lose Yourself (2003)

8 Mile will always be remembered for Eminem's big screen debut. The film tells autobiographical elements of the singer's life and his beginnings in music.

May It Be (2002)
