When Taylor Swift announced "The Eras Tour" the suspense of her fans ended after a wait of almost 5 years in which the artist had to cancel her original tour "Lover Fest" due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And it makes sense that "The Eras Tour" was so expected. There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is not only one of the most beloved artists of all time, but she is also one of the most talented and successful careers. She has reached #1 on Billboard 9 times, 40 times in the top 10 on the same list, and has won 11 Grammys.

Her tour, which began last Friday, March 17, will run until August 9 and includes multiple concerts in the United States and two in Argentina. Friday began in Glendale, Arizona, and brought together more than 70,000 "swifties" who lived through a unique moment in history. And we say unique because the show that the singer gave marked a before and after in her career.

There are 44 songs that make up the show that lasts just over 3 hours and is divided into 10 musical acts corresponding to their 10 studio albums that are presented in the following order: "Lover", "Fearless (Taylor's Version)", “Evermore”, “Reputation”, “Speak now”, “Red (Taylor's Version)”, “Folklore”, “1989”, “Taylor Swift” and “Midnights”. Thus, Swift takes a tour of her entire musical career and explores all the eras she has lived through since her debut in 2006.

The Success that Heralds the First Concert of “The Eras Tour”

The Glendale concert reflects not only what the rest of the tour will be like, but also the hard work the artist has invested over the past 5 years to create a show that offers her fans a step forward in the career they have pursued faithfully from the beginning. Paramore and soloist GAYLE were in charge of preceding Swift's show, which came to be described as "theatrical." And it is that the show can only be described in this way, as an incredible play in which Taylor Swift herself made a catharsis of which her fans were part.

The staging was impeccable, the stage was extended, and the catwalk even turned into a pool through which the singer swam until she reached the main stage. Likewise, her costume changes left all mouths open. Swift wore 13 differently styled looks representing her eras and was dressed by Versace, Nicole + Felicia Couture, Alberta Ferretti, Zuhair Murad, Oscar de la Renta and Roberto Cavalli. The shoes she wore also got a lot of compliments. Apparently, the iconic crystal-embroidered boots she wore were custom-made for Swift by designer Christian Louboutin.

But without a doubt, what struck the audience the most was the emotional nature of the concert. Swift took a moment to thank her fans for the great reception her albums "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)" have had, for which she lost the rights to their original recordings, but re-recorded. She also sang “Marjorie”, a song dedicated to her grandmother, and during her performance she couldn't hold back her tears. In addition, Swift came out alone with the guitar in several of her songs with softer melodies to sing in a choir with her audience, which did not disappoint and accompanied the artist from start to finish.
