Our weekly summary arrives again with the news that you could not miss during the week and that you should know to be updated during the weekend. As always, in our summary come announcements of future releases and news about the reinvention to which we are all forced by the pandemic.

Here, then, are the most relevant news summarized and gathered from the week and from the world of entertainment.

1. J Balvin releases black video

During the pandemic, the Colombian reggaetonist released his latest record project: Colores (colors), of which some video clips were already known. This time, he arrives with his new single 'Negro', whose music video is somewhat different from the others, as it is animated.

This project is directed by Colin Tilley, who has been in charge of directing the visual part of the videos for Colores. This time we see J Balvin in his animated version in a post-apocalyptic world, very consistent with the situation, invaded by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

This week, pop singer Beyoncé announced that she will release her new visual album next July 30 with Disney+. This is "Black is King", which will try to gather and reinterpret the teachings of The Lion King, in whose live-action film adaptation the singer participated.

It will be, like other Beyoncé projects, a visual album conceived as an audiovisual project: music and images cannot be separated. It will launch through Disney+, Disney's streaming platform, which is now going strong in the midst of the quarantine.

3. Trailer for "Respect", biopic by Aretha Franklin is released

This week MGM released a preview of the biographical film they are preparing about Aretha Franklin, who will be played by singer and actress Jennifer Hudson ( Dreamgirls ). The feature film will show the life of the singer, who died in August 2018, from just being the daughter of a shepherd, played by Forest Withaker, until she became a successful soul music star.

Before dying, Aretha Franklin handpicked Hudson to play her in the film, so this performance is expected to be a heartfelt tribute to the deceased singer.

Shakira has asked the inhabitants of Barranquilla, through the Instagram account of her Pies Descalzos foundatio,n for a little more restraint and civics. Barranquilla, the singer's hometown, has been a focus of COVID-19 contagion in recent weeks due to lack of caution on the part of the inhabitants of the city of Atlántico.

Parties and celebrations have been reported, which should not be allowed in the middle of the situation. This is why the singer from Barranquilla asks her hometown for more precaution through her social networks.

5. Sundance will make a hybrid between face-to-face and virtual in its next version

The Sundance Film Festival is perhaps the most important independent film festival in the world. It has not lagged behind when it comes to reinventing itself. Many film industry festivals have had to and Sundance is no exception.

This is why they have announced that for their version of 2021 it will be held in a hybrid way between face-to-face and virtual. It will no longer depend, then, on how the health crisis continues at that time, since it is planned now with both options: the possibility that the most important people of independent cinema can see and meet in person, but also a bouquet of possibilities for those who they cannot or do not want to travel.
