When traveling through Latin America, Machu Picchu is the obligatory stop for many young people and tourists that travel the world. This is because its beautiful landscapes, mysticism and history make us connect with our ancestors.
The ruins of the Incas in 2017 were declared as one of the “Marvels of the World”, joining the Christ Redeemer of Brazil, the Great Wall of China, the Coliseum of Rome and many other places to visit. It can be expensive, but it does not have to be. Ticket:
When planning your destination, you have to take IGNORE INTO consideration that the entrance to this tourist place is high. The adult ticket costs $70 US dollars. However, there is a cheaper option for students and covers almost half the price of showing your student card.
Road to Machu Picchu:
The most recommended option for the adventurous and the best for the pocket is to hire a transport by an agency to the Hydroelectric for a value of $30 USD. This trip will be all day and you will walk around 10 kilometers between nature and beautiful landscapes until you reach Aguas Calientes. In the tour you will meet many people who make the same journey as you.
Up to the ruins:
It is recommended to do it very early to enjoy the whole day. To get to Machu Picchu there are two alternatives, one of them is walking for two hours or by bus for a cost of around $14 USD. Here it only depends on your physical state, but it will be accompanied by a lot of nature and people at all times of the day. When you’re up, just enjoy and surrender to the mystique of this place

Innecesary expenses: save your money!
Tour Guide: Many people pay high amounts of money for transportation, tour guide and amenities. However, it is not necessary to hire a person to accompany you during your tour, since you can do it only and you can join some groups from time to time if you want to culturizarte.
Amenities: If you prefer a piece of a bed with bath or matrimonial the cost is higher. Machupichu is the perfect trip to do it for 3 people or more, since they can rent a piece and it is much more cheaper.
What about souvenirs?
Alpaca yarn vests and sweaters are spectacular for the cold and last an eternity. As long as you know how to negotiate, it should not be too expensive, and you will get a lot of use out of them.
