Historically, the female orgasm has been loaded with myths and doubts. Until a few decades ago, women began to explore and express their sexuality more openly. Every August 8 the female orgasm is celebrated in Latin America on World Female Orgasm Day, while in English-speaking countries this celebration takes place on July 31.
This is because reaching the sexual climax deserves to be celebrated, even more so considering all the benefits that this can bring, both emotionally and physically.
Full sex life, full health
First of all, it is worth clarifying that it is not necessary to have a sexual relationship to have a sexual life as such. One of the taboos that have most marked women's sexuality is masturbation. Whether due to religious beliefs and moral practices, it has been viewed with a bad eye. But the truth is that there is nothing wrong with masturbation and you can even maintain an active sex life without needing a sexual partner.
All this has led to the fact that it is common for women to have very few orgasms throughout their lives compared to men, who on many occasions have premature ejaculation problems. Female orgasms have become more relevant today and the subject is more thoroughly explored.
Several studies have shown that both maintaining the habit of masturbation and sexual intercourse increases mental and physical well-being. For example, a study from Oregon State University, in the United States, affirms that having an orgasm greatly increases work performance since stress is released at the climax. And it is not surprising, because with orgasms oxytocin is released, a hormone that not only gives a feeling of pleasure, but also optimism and self-esteem.
If that weren't enough, reaching orgasm can help boost the immune system and lower the pain threshold. For example, during their period, women who reach orgasm can see the pain that menstruation produces exponentially reduced. Here it is worth stating that, contrary to what is believed, sex during menstruation has no health risks, and even blood helps lubrication.
On the other hand, in the book "The Orgasm Side" by Barry Komisaruk and Beverly Whipple it is stated that once orgasm is reached, women have an easier time falling asleep. They also rest better and feel less exhausted.

What do I do to reach orgasm?
There are different types of orgasm, and there are even women who are multi-orgasmic. This means that, despite having already climaxed, they can continue the sexual act and have one or more orgasms again. The clitoral orgasm is the one that happens when the clitoris is stimulated, while the vaginal orgasm happens when the pelvic wall is stimulated. There is the possibility of stimulating both areas and reaching orgasm to make it even more pleasant. There are even nipple orgasms.
But of course, exploring all these types of pleasure takes time, first with yourself and then with another or other people. Learning to know your body and understanding that it can be a source of pleasure that can be beneficial is the most important thing.
