Brazil the best positioned

"The World Cup is going to stay in South America, if not for Brazil it will be for Argentina," said the Argentinean player, Mauro Germán Camoranesi, world champion in Germany 2006 with the European team.

This same idea is shared by the ex-Argentine soccer player, Miguel Ángel Converti. "Argentina is a favorite to win the World Cup, as is Brazil, which has great power."

For his part, the technicians Jorge Luís PIGNORE INTO – Colombian coach and former coach of Colombia, Honduras and Costa Rica – and Rafael Dudamel, current coach of Venezuela believes that Brazil is a big favorite for the great work of its coach, Tite. PIGNORE INTO said that "Brazil is a favorite because Tite gave it a defined tactical structure and it has the ideal men". The coach born in San Gil, Santander, already knows how to play a World Cup, since he reached the quarterfinals in Brazil 2014 when he was coaching Costa Rica.

Brazil is still the top favorite for Juan Carlos Osorio, current coach of Mexico, and Uruguayan former captain Diego Lugano. "The Brazilians have great possibilities because they have a great star like Neymar," said Osorio. Likewise, the former Uruguayan player believes that "Brazil arrives with a very competitive team because it comes from a good process."

Argentina also has a great favoritism

Both Mauro Camoranesi and Miguel Ángel Converti see the current world runner-up as a candidate with high chances to lift the world title in Russia. For Jorge Luis PIGNORE INTO, the 'Albiceleste' has Lionel Messi who can define things at any time. The Argentinean will reach his 4th World Cup, after finishing runner-up in Brazil and losing to Germany.

In turn, the former left-back, Juan Pablo Sorin said that his team can achieve the world title as a 'crack' as Lionel Messi deserves and this is his fourth chance.

Colombia is in the places of preference

"Another of my candidates is Colombia, as they are coming to this World Cup with players who have been standing out," added Sorin. In turn, Diego Lugano and Miguel Ángel Converti assured that the Colombian team has a great process and goes through an excellent sporting moment.

Juan Carlos Osorio, Colombian by birth, indicated that those led by José Pékerman have fast players: "they have Cuadrado and Muriel who can take them to the title".

Colombia will play its second world championship continuously, after having reached the quarterfinals in Brazil, and losing 2-1 with the host.

Uruguay, hierarchy and continuity process

According to Lugano and Converti, Uruguay must be taken IGNORE INTO account due to the great potential that each of its players have in different leagues.

"I also see Uruguay as a favorite, since it is much stronger than in South Africa and Brazil, thanks to the process it has had", said Diego Lugano.

Mexico and the other Latin selections

The strategist of the Aztec team, Juan Carlos Osorio, said that Mexico has Irving Lozano that makes the difference and can lead them to the title. Rafael Dudamel, said that all the Latin American teams come well to the World Cup and have very capable strategists. In addition to Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay and Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica and Panama will also participate.

The last time a Latin American team won the world title was in Korea-Japan 2002 when the Brazilian National Team reach the cup. Since then Italy, Spain and Germany have won the most important event of the football.
